Cheap printer, but HP ink is expensive (I used to have one).

Heard about this from a friend too, ordered one myself tonight.

This is a proper business class printer, with all the extras. Ethernet, duplex, second paper tray - the latter two are optional extras that sell for about 30 quid each. This isn't your typical cheapy HP home printer you pick up in PC world. ;-)

dirt cheap for what your getting - voted hot.

I have had the basic K550 in work for some months now; this is a good all round inkjet printer.

The K550dtn has the added duplexing unit, rj45 ethernet (just plug into your router or switch for sharing with multiple computers) and a second paper tray.

Cheapest elsewhere is around £135!

And I have found the 3yr free warranty on the HP website available for a limited time (01/03/2007 – 31/07/2007. See below:

Cartridges are separated out into magenta, cyan, yellow and black, and separate print heads. Good if you use a particular colour more than others. Prices are reasonable i.e. from £7.49 for the 9ml.

This unit had good reviews as a reliable office workhorse when it came out i.e. £240.

This is a hot buy!!!

2 Questions:

Anyone had a look at online refilling services through the posts ?

Does anyone know what size cartridges this comes with ?

so anyone got one of these?

seems like an awesome price!

yep, me. very happy so far.

It seems to come with the smaller cartridges. I've ordered a set of the large cartridges through inkfactory/quidco/googlecheckout ready for when they run out.

Just been in my local staples in Swansea and they have the HP550 printers for £49.99 inc VAT. These are not the 'DTN' just the basic model. But if you dont need Duplex or Networking they are good value.

Is it just me, that the price has shot up.

yeh the offer has expired.
