I won't buy HP printers anymore simply because their cartridges are way too expensive and even the copies aren't cheap either and mostly don't work well on them! I have an similar one to this and must admit it will be my last HP printer for sure!

If you can stomach the initial higher cost, also consider the laser a-i-o Dell C1765NFW at circa £175 via Amazon MP with 3 yr Dell warranty., and subsequently enjoy complete sets of compatible high-yield toner carts at total under £20 delivered (2000 pages black; 1400 pages each colour). Would dread to cost the equivalent yields for the HP. Still an excellent offer for the OP HP if you are only an occasional user or prefer inkjet rather than laser and don't expect to have to feed it very often.
Edit: respect to OP who appears to have found an HP printer that has realistically-priced high-yield compatible carts available (minor caveat of possible loss of ink level indication).

After hours of Searching the net and reading reviews all i could find with less ink cost was this one , i previously had hp 1020 laserjet printer i was completly satisfied with it but the only reason i was looking to upgrade was ( wirelessly printing ) and also be compatible with mac !!

so i might be wrong about the cost and things that this printer could save but as a result on my quick research for the ink cartridge i found (HP 950XL Black Ink Cartridge ) for £6.99 on ebay which is not bad for 1000 page print !!

£6.99 delivered is a seriously great find and if the colour carts can be sourced at a similar price & yield then clearly feeding the HP is competitive. Anybody know if the carts supplied with the HP are full yield or crippled-capacity starter carts?
Edit: answer my own question: HP state the printer is supplied with lower-capacity "setup" carts rated at 1000 pages black; 700 pages colour.

Yes I have checked this deal, but this offer saves you only £50 from £124.99 so the total including VAT £89.99 this offer has already been expired as this deal was valid until 12 Jan .
But thanks anyway for the share

No longer listed online, does anyone know if stores still carry stock even when not listed ?
Just tried ringing my local one but seems I was talking to someone who didn't understand english very well.

The link says coupons valid 12 jan - 1 feb so the price is still valid, if you can claim another £40 off all the better.

Yes I just figured it out £40 -£89.99 = £49.99 but there is non you could find on the website also if you are non membership you'll be charged 5% £4.99 .

I couldn't find any on the store , should give them call and see if it's available in store !!

But the 2 years guarantee that's John Lewis provided does worth it to spend little extra ( no headache ) if broke down shouldn't Waite hours on the call to explain the problem as you just take the printer to John Lewis and chances are they either replace for brand new on or send it off to hp for repair.

Very true, I'm just wondering if I could get JL to pricematch Argos and get another tenner off, that would make it £69.99 with the JL customer service to fall back on.

* Just completed a Never Knowingly Undersold form........wait and see time
* update again, so much for JL customer services. When I filled in the pricematch form this mornig I stated Argos as the merchant and gave them the url to the Argos page. I have just received an email saying that they can't price match as it is out of stock at Currys online..........CURRYS! I mean come on Argos - Currys......see the difference? obviously they can't, anyway just replied re-confirming what I submitted this morning. See what happens this time

Finally.........Just received an email from JL to say they will pricematch the Argos price of £109.99, another tenner saved.

could you please send me screen shot of that email so i could do ( price match ) !!
thanks for updating

Decided against this at the 11th hour after seeing one working, scan/copy is fine but standard colour prints unless used on the highest setting with photo paper are a bit naff due to significant banding issues.
