I saw this deal on here a few days ago but it has been expired.

I pulled the trigger on this deal after researching the model, it does have the 120hz screen which is excellent. It is a real good deal for the spec.

• 15.6-inch Full HD display

• Intel Core i7-7700HQ

• 8GB memory/128GB SSD + 1TB HDD

• VR-ready NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics

Deal ends tonight and I can't find a better value spec gaming laptop anywhere else at the moment.

Be gentle it's my first deal.

Not about the looks, it's the performance where it matters

You got me there

GTX 1060 is 6gb.. am very tempted but kinda hoping i will see the i7 7700, gtx 1070, 256gb ssd/1tb MSI come down a bit in price.

price looks great! Tho it's probably hard to see the full advantage of a 120Hz Gsync screen at 1080p using a GTX 1060.
If it was GTX 1070 then that would be a different matter. Here, have some heat OP

I can't see the part where it says it has a 120hz display? If it did i'll be pulling the trigger

Graphics card in Hp Omen 15 is most likely a GTX 1060 Max q, not the regular GTX 1060 6GB which means lower clocks (1265 vs 1544MHz) lower TDP (80W vs 120W) corresponding to lower performance %7-19 depending on games/benchmarks. So beware potential buyers

You recieved next day delivery? I'm very tempted. Though the site says shipped in 2-3 days and I'm quite impatient

I think they are GTX 1060 Max q although HP makes no direct reference except saying 1060 6gb.

Sneaky HP :D. Owners might confirm this perhaps

Yes I selected the free regular 2-3 day delivery and it arrived next day, I was happy ha!

They also offer free returns if you aren't happy which is a bonus

It's definitely the Max-Q GPU. I had my return collected today - only as I ordered something with a 1070 in the end.
The GPU is overclockable in Afterburner to the standard 1060 specs.
I actually REALLY liked the build quality and its not half as ugly as you may think from the images.
The IPS G-SYNC 120hz screen was also very nice and plenty bright for me. I read that it was 300nits. I couldn't personally test this figure though.
This is definitely a very nice deal if you are after a 1060 laptop.
The chassis is thinner than I thought too.
HEAT.

Sounds good, I took the plunge! Fingers crossed I get as fast delivery. Been tempted to get an upgrade and it seems pretty rare to find a 6gb 1060 below £1k and I reaaaallly wanted a 120hz display after getting used to 144hz.
Kinda wanted to stay away from the "gamer" designs but options are very limited with that

I agree, out of all the gaming laptops sub £1000 I have never seen one that has a 120hz panel, also I have read that this particular one has excellent colour accuracy of that is your thing. I don't like the look of gaming laptops either but it seems that unless you pay a premium you are stuck with the black and red haha

I still haven't had time to take mine out of the box yet!
