If you're after something more discrete, as far as I can tell this is essentially the same laptop (and at the same price) but in silver.

Thanks, gamer aesthetic looks trash
Strange that this is being voted cold, as the exact same model was voted hot at £829.99 from Amazon only 5 days ago. If it (or equivalent) can be bought cheaper elsewhere, please share the link as I might well be interested in purchasing!

No Elite Controller (worth £100-£120) with that one though.
also cheaper at John Lewis for a very similar laptop which comes with a good 2 year warranty

True. About £45 cheaper than PC World, but the PC World has a 128 GB SSD (in addition to the 1TB HDD).

It's a tough call, as the John Lewis one has the benefit of a 2 year warranty, but if you were to install your own SDD (which I would want to do, as this makes a big improvement to general OS use), I assume you would void the warranty so I would go for the PC World one.

Doh! I should have checked more carefully before suggesting this as an alternative, as this and the lack of free controller make it nowhere near as good as the Omen.

Actually, it does have the SSD, so just the controller you miss out on with the Pavillion. That's still enough to make the Omen a significantly better deal though.

Good deal, very tempting, voted hot.
Ideally want at 1050 ti, or even a 1060 for gaming, although haven't seen any decent deals for any.
Screen is crappy and keyboard area gets too warm during use but if you like this particular laptop, then its a good price at the current time.
