I've been looking around for a decent price on a gaming laptop that also had a GTX 1070 and think this is a pretty good deal, there aren't many around for under £1500. Stick some extra RAM in and it's a beast.

Thanks Louise, I found the same, thus looking for a link. Babbler might have been mistaken by the spec.

That is different spec and more expensive than the deal that I got one month ago with slightly better spec (gtx 1060).

I like hp omen, it is light and thin but powerful gaming laptop. Although I must agree with majority that the type & price that op found it too high. I got mine for £700 (i5 + gtx 1060) but it runs all high end games on highest setting.
Yes different spec apologies.

Compared to other sellers, price is good. the i7 will make it more than the i5. However yes, £700 for the one you have is a good deal too.

Not sure about you, but I personally fail to see the reason having 17" laptop. Too big to carry around. For the price difference, you can get very good gaming monitor with gsync 28" 144hz like mine. You will get the best of both worlds (28" when playing at home, 15" for travelling which is not too bad for a laptop).

Bear in mind that this laptop uses wide screen so it's already bigger than the normal size. Also, I notice my screen flexes quite a bit. Not sure I want that on the 17". Good luck on your search for your bundle of joy
I actually think this is a pretty good deal. It's got to be the cheapest GTX 1070 laptop on the market?
I bought this exact spec for similar money direct from HP back in February.

Good machine, although can be quite loud once the fans all kick in if you play anything demanding. And it is unfortunate that it isn't easy to upgrade the SDD as 128GB isn't much for gaming.

But, it is a beast
