Thanks for the comments. The code still appears to be working
I'm looking at the HP 15-dc1044na (RTX 2060 version), does anyone know if you can swap to the onboard graphics to reduce fan noise whie doing low grunt tasks like web surfing or MS office etc? I know it has an Intel UHD 630 onboard graphics but don;t know if you can utilise it. If nobody knows but has one, what is the fan noise like on low demand stuff? Thanks.

There are usually settings where you can choose which graphics card to use for each application. I've had that optipn on my past 2 laptops Dell and MSI, don't see HP being different. I think it's Nvidia related settings, so nothing to do with the brand.
Cheers for that, just off the phone to HP and they said the same. Hopefully things won’t get too loud..

Update: just took the plunge and got same spec as this but rtx 2060 and less the HDD (which I don't want anyway as prefer a decent SSD) for £1259, pretty good I reckon. To get this, grab a student and get their discount, saved £280 ish.
