A gaming PC with a mid range graphics card but a high end price? Doesn't seem like a good deal at all.

Can you build or buy an equivalent PC with the same components for less?

Unless you have a penchant for gold plated components pretty sure you could do.

Links? I have tried to build one with the cheapest components from amazon and ebuyer and they come to over £1200+

Different CPU, less ram, ? better graphics card, bigger SSD, no HDD, no windows 10, no water cooling etc....

Better balanced, more viable. Less gizmos that serve zero purpose

Sorry I thought you were being snarky at first, this is a build I slapped together, it's got a newer CPU, better more power efficient graphics card, less but probably faster RAM, plus 16GB is more than enough, 32GB is overkill.

You might be able to knock it down about £100 if you change some of the parts around.

Awful value on this. So cold.

reasonable build and close on price, to be fair mute point as its OOS now, but would have saved me time building it, ill have a look around at parts etc and possibly build one, ive an antec case and a windows that i can upgrade to 10 etc

You dont have to built it yes, but for the same price, it will outperform the HP by miles. so far apart that they are not even in the same class

and if you google prebuilt gaming pc, you can easily get better spec for same money like

scan.co.uk/3xs…44i

For around £1050, I would go for a build with a six core Intel i5, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB, running at DDR4-2666 memory (I'm assuming the HP has 2400) and a 6GB GTX 1060 (my part picker is otherwise quite similar to the one above but with a cheaper SSD. Keep in mind that the HP is steel, very heavy, and very large on a desk. I like the aesthetics of it, myself, and that's the selling point, for me. The case, alone, used to retail for £550, now around £300.

I gave heat, though, just for the originality of the thing.

I checked it’s parts on its oem sheet and in parts it totals £1500

im sure people will dispute that, and that’s ok, but for the price pre built I feel it’s reasonable
