HP PAGE3000 All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer - £199 @ Currys + £100 cashback from HP + 3000 pages of ink

Was on the lookout for a new all-in-one printer to replace my HP Photosmart All-in-One after the automatic document feeder on it decided to die. Any replacement had

to be capable of automatic double-sided scanning to OCR'd PDFs (my primary use for it), which rather limits the options. After being prompted by the Currys sale email at the weekend, I checked their site and found this.

If you search for this model online you'll find very little info - no one else sells it and there doesn't seem to be any info on HP's site, however I eventually determined it's actually a bundle of an HP OfficeJet Pro 8725 and a voucher for 3000 pages worth of

Instant Ink.

I haven't used Instant Ink before, but I understand it works by HP automatically sending replacement cartridges when they are due to run out. This is usually a subscription deal, although plenty of their printers now come with a trial, but this bundle deal gives a code/voucher for 3000 pages worth of ink up front with no payment details required. There is apparently no time limit for reaching the 3000 pages.

Currys themselves state that £50 of cashback is available, however this is incorrect. Upon going through to HP to view the terms, I found that this specific bundle is eligible for £100 cashback during December and January - this does not apply to the OfficeJet Pro 8725 on its own (that is still at £50).

Cashback processing seems to be fairly quick - I submitted my claim yesterday (04/01) and today (05/01) got the email saying it had been released for further processing. For reference, the last HP cashback claim I did (for 364 ink bundles) was paid 10 days after being released.

The cashback offer runs until the end of the month, so it may be worth waiting to see if Currys offer promo codes again during the month - I ordered mine on the last day the 15% code was available, so got it for £169.99 (excluding the cashback).

I have this printer from the last deal where it worked out at £14 after trade in.
Quite a large beast but works well
Anyone know what form the "3000 pages" takes? It's likely a code, but is it a code for 3000 use-anytime pages, 10 months at £7.99, or a £79.90 credit code (that could be used for ~40 months of the 50 pages/month £1.99 tier?

I know there was a deal a few months ago that ended up being a code that gave you £72 credit to be used on any tier.
Is this one not £50 HP cashback or is it double to £100?
On that link, I can only see:
"Claim £50 cashback when you purchase this product."
and
"Save 1/3 off the marked price on ink when you buy with any printer."
??
Sorry, I accidentally posted this before finishing typing. There is more info available now.

It's a code for 3000 pages, with no apparent time limit. Should work out well for me - in the six years I owned my previous printer I only printed ~500 pages!
Really decent printer terrestris, thanks for posting

I got it for £19 as well! Best printer I’ve ever had!
Would this possibly work with sublimation ink?

Only guessing but I would have assumed it was a 10 month free trial of instant ink at 300 pages a month. Their customer service is very good though, so just email them and ask.

Hi @alu355 and @smiller9690 , where did you see the trade-in offer? Great deal

Thanks OP, have some hear!
Great deal if there is no time limit for the 3000 pages. ie if you could use them over the course of a few years.

I got it from ebuyer back in October
Pretty good deal on the 3000 page printing

The HP PAGE3000 service gives you up to 3000 pages worth of ink for your printer. There are no contracts to deal with and no monthly billing. All you need to do is set up your printer at 123.HP.com and printing can begin immediately.

Your HP Printer will automatically make an order for replacement ink when it is needed – and it's delivered before you run out. You'll be sent as much Original HP ink as needed to print up to 3000 pages. Your pages are valid for as long it takes you to reach the 3000-page mark.

After using your 3000 pages, you can easily purchase another 3000 pages, at hppage3000.co.uk.

From the Product Information. Also Link to where it says it is eligible for £100 cash back.

I got a similar deal on another HP printer and it's fantastic, the credit I got should last for my ink for about 2 years or more.

Don't forget to get a referral code from someone to get an extra free month of ink. If anyone needs one, send me a private message.

This offer is definitely worth it, hot from me!!
How is the quality of the scanner?

I was looking for a double side feed scanner and this could do the trick. Plus I need a printer since I did not want to buy ink for the old one.

Would it scan photos in acceptable quality if the settings are set that way?
If you are subscribed to Currys deal emails and received a "100 hours 100 deals promotion" email over the weekend (i.e. after that promotion had finished), it's worth checking your email again as they've sent out unique 10% discount codes valid on anything they stock as a goodwill gesture. As that would come of the price paid when ordering, your net cost would come down to £79.99.

I’m confused, is this the same as instant ink? Do I need to register at 123.HP.com first? Will I get 3000 pages then I go to hppage3000.co.uk or do I go before? I don’t want to get such a big printer and then not get my 3000 pages. Ideally I wanted the envy 5546, doesn’t that come with 3000 pages if I register it at hppage3000.co.uk? So many questions I know but I live in a hovel and am having palpitation at the size of the printer, yet 3000 pages is so handy with little kids

No. They are dye inks
you can also get an extra month of instant ink free if you have a friend who has one already.

Wasn't aware of the 3 Year Extended Warranty promotion, although I'm not sure if it strictly applies to this. Whilst the product codes are the same for the PAGE3000 and OfficeJet Pro 8725, they are listed separately under the cashback promotion, and only the OfficeJet Pro 8725 is listed under the warranty promotion. Plus the invoice that Currys provide (that you'll need to submit to HP) doesn't state the product code, only the product name. Regardless, once I've received my cashback I'll give claiming the extended warranty a go - worst that happens is they say no.
Not sure where people are getting the £100 cashback from, the links provided don't show any such offer.

When searching for the HP UK cashback site and listing the printer (either the 8725) or the one below in the cashback system both come up as £50:

Currys do have a Price Promise where they say they'll match a major competitor's price up to 7 days after purchasing, even with a voucher code - I can't see how they'd justify not matching themselves, so I'd just go into your local store and ask. If they argue then point out there's nothing to stop you from buying another one and returning the original, so what's the difference?!
