HP Pavilion 15-au164na - 15.6 Inch Ultra Portable Laptop (Silver) - Full HD (1920 X 1080) / i7-7500U Processor / 8GB DDR4 Ram / 256GB SSD / Windows 10 / Bluetooth 4.2 / DVD-RW / HDMI / HD Webcam

Seller claims this is 1980x1080 but same model on other sites states it's 1366x768
Any thoughts on this? Good deal or not ?

Why would you trust some random seller over the official spec given by the company that made it?

Hate not having touch screen on laptops or a blu ray player...how are laptops still on DVD drive generation when 4k UHD is becoming mainstream

The seller on amazon is adamant it's 1920x1080 tho, even states this in the questions & answers down bottom of the page .
He says the spec on the HP site is incorrect ?

I trust no one But the trader does have 100% positive feed back

Snowman sales ? a verified "safe" seller ?- be very ,very careful -you may not get what you expect .

Terrible build quality, yet not a bad spec for the money . Take the screen specs with a pinch of salt .

Don't even consider ordering one

I agree... but it is fulfilled by Amazon, so you deal with Amazon, not the seller.

I agree on build quality, but the seller has added a picture from the side of the box that says Full HD. Very strange.

yeah from 82 - this sort of unknown seller is usually not allowed on HUKD even if it's fulfilled by Amazon although these days the mods don't seem as bothered about such things.... it wasn't long ago they'd remove deals unless the seller had over a 1000 positive reviews and was fulfilled by Amazon. TImes change, money talks.

The seller has 897 feedback lifetime, 100% positive, its fulfilled by amazon and the seller is VAT registered. Doesn't seem dodgy at all to me

Still looks like an HD screen, not full HD. See the negative point in the review by "Mohamed" against this exact model number: "HD display would perfect it."
alatest.in/rev…30/

Also, this third party site is selling a replacement screen for it, and it's 1366x768

You're quite right, my mistake, he's had 82 in the last 12 months - not exactly lots of recent positive sales. You're not related by any chance, what with the similar sound ing name

15-au164na is listed as 1366x768 on the HP website:

support.hp.com/gb-…336

If it is 1366x768, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Maybe HP improved the spec since they originally brought out that model and haven't updated the website? Not unheard of though slightly unusual.

To be safe, I'd pay by CC just and case and use the Amazon returns policy in the event that it's not up to spec. Is return postage free?

Haha nahhh but got to stick up for my frosty brothers! Have sold bits and bobs on amazon to be fair and received absolutely no feedback so take it with a pinch of salt. 82 feedback is probably on thousands of orders overall. Getting people to leave yous feedback on amazon like pulling teeth!

overpriced even for an i7

HP yes for printers but defo NO for laptops

Or £500 for i5 @Ebuyer http://www.ebuyer.com/product/805720

So not comparable at all really then
