Very good price

What's the screen size/resolution on this?

Generic statement: can any cold votes advise on a better deal please? Looking for a laptop for my mother, this seemed like a good deal and wanted to judge it here.

same.. interested in this ..why are people voting cold

For the price, this is very good. At least you don't have to do the obligatory ram upgrade as soon as you've bought it! Just rove the bloatware and I think it's a good buy for £399! Don't forget to check JL as they offer 2yrs warranty on all laptops.

I was about to buy but as per other HUKD listing for the white one, it's £400 (SRP) on the HP website, so is this a deal? www8.hp.com/uk/…779

Voted hot for Iris 5100 graphics, Merry Christmas

I've just ordered one of these but I'm considering cancelling it because on the hp site the SRP is already £400. Does anyone also know when it was released and should I cancel it or not?

I saw that, assumed it aligns with the sale prices elsewhere. There is the same with a hp that is on sale on the
John Lewis website.

Good for streaming STEAM to a 1080p TV?

Only draw back in low resolution screen, but at this price it is top spec. And with good built quality.

Similar but not the same laptop. The one in JL is equipped with an A10 AMD which is an older and significantly less powerful processor compared to the i5 4288U

What's the difference between this and 15-p189sa?

Only the colour - all the colour variations have a different product code

Is that a specific HP issue? Anything they can do to avoid?

No expert on these but I've been keeping an eye on laptops for my son and I noticed this on ebay yesterday....brand new from Argos and although it said it has an i3 processor, googling that model suggested it was an i5. A touchscreen HP with an i5 for that price seemed decent. What do people think of it?
