Been around for a while but now reduced to under £250!

Just ordered as been after a new laptop for a while, seems like a pretty decent deal for the spec.
Sorry for the quick description, lunch time savings going on.

Available in purple too, also at PC World, also with TopCashback/Quidco.

12 mth warranty

This is a great price but Curry's/PC World Refurbs worry me.

I have got one before, but sent back as it wasnt for me. They are fine, but one thing to remember with there refurbish that people might be aware. Buying from there website, you generally get a full 12 months warranty, but there ebay site can vary from 3 months to 6 months.

I got the previously HP in white which went hot last time for £300.

This appears to be the same specs, what an absolute bargain.....HOT!

great deal

ordered thanks. looks like I can return to store opened under DS regs if I don't like the look of its condition.

what's the risks of refurbished laptops ? any danger they will run slower??

ditto. I nearly bought the E555 this morning but was dithering due to processer concerns and really wanted more RAM and HD space. Looks like I got that and a miles better processor for the same price. Just hoping it isn't a knackered refurb but most comments suggest they are as new.

Nope, it will be fine. The one I got was in pristine condition and no problems so far. Swap in a SSD and if boots in seconds

12 month warranty

Tempted to upgrade my i3 with this

I've always bought Dell Outlet laptops in the past with no issue. I bought a PC World HP refurb a few years ago and had no end of issues with it.....even after selling it on here for spares and repairs!!

Hopefully things have changed as I might take a punt on this as my parents could do with a new one.

amazing deal but being a united fan I just cannot do it dam

I bought a 12inch advent in 2007, it's still kicking

Heated. Good deal

I have had so many problems with HP over the years. At the moment I am in dispute with HP over cashback on a Printer, having sworn I wouldn't buy HP again after problems with two HP laptops, both of which overheated alarmingly while supposedly in sleep mode. HP insist I am not on their system. I have others who applied for cashback who are going through the same nightmare slog. I have also had a lot of problems with Currys over both returns and repairs, to the extent that I took a course in a electronics so that I would be less of a victim of repair agents. Though laptops are a pain to repair and spares expensive, though not nearly as expensive as Apple spares, better that than expensive paperweights. These days I am much more forceful over my rights as a consumer, but I still give Currys/PC World a wide berth and think twice when I see HP and Toshiba brands on sale.

In absolute terms, I agree, hot on spec, even if I feel I can't vote hot.

Just need to be cautious. Sometimes refurbished ones have some problem being the reason why some one has returned the item.

Not likely to run slower though Currys /PC World have shocking customer service reviews and seem unwilling to grasp the protection offered by the sale of Goods Act.

The purple one is the same price

Does the code works or any cashback?

Beat me to it! Pretty much word for word what I was going to say

If we don't like it then can we still refund in store ?

had bad experience with pc world/currys and HP netbook for me avoid and you should read forums about customers issues...

I bought one of these last week when they were £319.99 - just phoned them now and they are refunding the difference

Based on HP laptop experience in the past, they're bad enough the first time around. I wouldn't go near one on a second.

Great spec! stick a SSD in there and it will fly!!

1366 x 768

if only it has dedicated graphics ,I really want another HP laptop as I've dropped mine a million times and it's fine .

they struggle to offer laptops with dedicated graphics for a reasonable price

I'm looking at getting a laptop for my 11 year old. I've been looking around and there seems to be be a few hundred £££ difference between an i5 and celeron. I get that they are different and the i5 is better but is it £200 better and worth spending the money or not? My daughter plays crappy kids online games and uses for homework etc but nothing major. I don't want something to slow though as that's the issue she has at the moment. Any help appreciated

Can't beat the specs..super hot IMO..
