I thought this was nearly comparable to the very deal, if you couldn't get an account, also price refund difference if its reduced further.
I think there's better deals to be had on the 1660 ti over the coming days
I'm sure some of the GTX 1650 laptops were £500-£600 with the 20% credit back on Very. The 15.6" Y540 with the 1660ti could be had for £720 delivered

You could have had this with the 1660ti and the i7 from very for £759. Shame the deal is over now though.

Yeah, the Asus FX505DT-AL086T (Ryzen 5, 1650, 256gb ssd) was coming in at £503 and 17 inch version at £520.

Yeah that was a good deal, the one you linked is a Ryzen 5,a far inferior processor to a 9th gen i7

Personally I'd sacrifice the i7 for an i5 and get a better GPU, if you couldn't stretch budget. More games tend to be GPU bound than CPU

and that's worth an extra £350........ I dont think so !!!
Apart from the processor difference are you not also getting a bigger screen with this deal?
I've been eyeing up the 512gb ram and 1600ti model of this laptop. Is there much between the two? Not looking for a gaming laptop but a decent laptop be docked to replace an old pc , running photoshop, low end video editing and multitasking. It seems that the spec is fairly high for the price. I planned to shove some more ram in there.

The graphics card (GTX 1650) which is the most expensive component and not coincidentally the single biggest factor of gaming performance, is the big let down, the GTX 1660ti on the cheaper laptops runs 50-100% faster than a GTX 1650, so the 5-10% boost you might get from having a better CPU is no use.

The were GTX 1660ti laptops for a little more, there normally very similar on price, typically the internals are identical, they just have larger cases and screens

Yep. It definitely states that. I'm extremely tempted at the possible £720 price. As I've been looking for a decent Spec'd laptop for around 700-900 to replace an old pc. I'm not looking to game on it but want a capable photo and video editing machine for at home and on the go.

You don't get the full i7 performance due to the cooling on this laptop model but it's more than enough for gaming needs but you may want to look else were for video editing.
