good deal I think. just shame its a HP

Nothing wrong with an HP (oh no - not that dodgy HP laptops have maximum problems chart again). The deal breaker here is the on board graphics here. I can live with 1st Gen i-5 processor at this price.

Typing this from a 2007 HP pavilion laptop btw, have not had a single problem.

You don't need a chart, countless pages online say HP are currently the most unreliable brand, you have to be fairly stupid to think just because your 1 is fine all the others will be problem free as well

its the trackpad problems with this HP I dont like the sound of. plus after having 3 HP laptops fail in the past 2 years (and expensive ones at that) I dont want to risk it again.

although its a shame as its a decent spec for the price, but I think I will be sticking to Levono for now.

And you have to be fairly stupid to not figure out that the brand which is sold most may naturally have more number of failure rates (i.e. HP and Dell).

I would be the first one to raise hand and say that HP's quality is not the same as it was, neither their designs are too good. But that chart only proves to me which I already know.

Well more failures probably...

But a higher failure rate (percentage of break down in the total sales) has nothing to do with hp's position. I am not judging, just thinking that these stats are rather misunderstood and people just make them say what they want while making their point.

i think i might get the mrs to go for one of these, seems a decent enough spec, probably a bit much for just standard browsing and media... but its a really nice looking thing

anyone any experience of dixons refurbs?

btw my missus bought this laptop

total bargain in my opinion, really nicely built, great size

comes with a load of crapware on it but you can just delete all that and happy days!

cheers for posting op

just realised it only came 2GB ram....
