Thats a 15.6" notebook. This is 13.3", so much better for portability.

Yea seems very good, voted hot.

Don't these get very hot? I have always been a fan of HP but I keep hearing the current models seem to get hot.

was worried about that myself but the most recent models seem to be ok i hVE THE dv6 (bigger one as op pointed out)
and it runs fine

I think that was mostly the previous generation. They had issues with nvidia graphics cards overheating.

I have a DV3-2310ea with identical chassis, and it doesn't get hot. That's a Core i3 processor, and according to a quick google search isn't too different to the processor in this one (P6100 is essentially an i3 stripped of some of the advanced features). Graphics card isn't dissimilar either, so I would imagine the overall heat generated is pretty much the same.

The fan does run all the time though. But that's the case with most laptops.

thanks

Don't care what anyone says - wouldn't touch an HP laptop with a barge-pole. Not only are they the most unreliable brand on the market, but their customer services team are appalling. So even IF they have fixed their reliability problems (which I seriously doubt, as i fell for that story when i bought by second one...), you're still lumbered with a company that really couldn't care less about its customers...get a Dell, a Toshiba, and Acer - in fact get a Packard Bell - but avoid HP/Compaq!
