I think the temperature is cold on this one as there are better deals out there (dell etc) for the money which come with core 2 duo. It is getting quite competitive in the laptop market.

But this is a very stylish laptop if not the most.

as they say price isn't everything, so for some people this would be a preferable buy over a dell

As said b4 this has the old core duo processor, not the current core 2 duo!

centrino = stinky

centrino = stinky

What do you mean??? I have a Core 2 Duo notebook and it is still classed as a centrino duo machine. All it means is that it has an intel dual core processor, intel motherboard and an intel wireless card.

isnt core 2 duo and core duo da same?

Any recommendations appreciated...

It definitely is a nice looking laptop, a lot sleeker than a dell. My wife's got a similar one (14.1"), and it looks a very elegant compared to a dell 640m.
