I'm looking for a replacement for my laptop, does anybody have any recommendations that are good value with a biggish screen (mine's 17"). Doesn't have to be top end, just able to multitask. Budget £400ish. Thanks

Thanks! Is that a decent spec for the price? I thought it would be an i3 processor for that price tbh, not sure if that really matters though

Well I would suggest to check in ebay or amazon. There are lot of other factors to consider. If you are open to refurbished, good second hand or clearance laptops then I would expect an i5 (may be a bit old gen version) in that price range.

Thanks, I would feel better buying something like that, it would be more "future proof" as they say! I am open to clearance/refurbished as long as it comes with a decent warranty. Do you think it is worth waiting for the January sales at this point or would I still get the best deals on clearance/refurbished regardless?

From my experience best deals on Computers go during Black Friday and Xmas. As soon as you get hold of one you should grab it. Found one such for u: ebay.co.uk/itm…jR6
