It'll be far from ideal with that 768 abomination resolution.

This one is only £100 more and is full HD and has a better CPU (i7)

this one is full hd for same price just with 8GB ram which should be enough for most people

Does it have TN screen?

This one seems much better, why didn't you post it instead to begin with ? I don't think 8GB of ram and a worse screen for same price is good value...

the first one was 16gb ram and I hadn't noticed it wasn't full hd when I posted it.

I think this is also similar spec apart from an older i5 6200.

It has integrated graphics, so yes, but no.
You will find yourself quickly frustrated with slow draw speeds and loading etc.
Dedicated graphics are a must I would say.
Hope that helps.

If it's occasional photo editing no need to spend hundreds for i7 quad core and dedicated graphic card. A laptop with even a Core M can do that. Not as quickly as a pc with the above specs but it will accomplish that task easily, unless it's photos with mega resolutions, but I doubt a non photographer works with these kinds of pictures.

If it's more than an occasional acitivity then yes, it makes sense.

People are quick to recommend high specs when maybe the person talking about photo editing really means "editing" a bunch of photos from a phone camera every now and then (not saying it's this particular poster's case).

Hi All, it's now £479 only and also you can get 3yr pick up and return for £1. Total: £480. Also you can get £10 quidco bonus and 2% off. so another £18 or £19 less.

Hi what memory does this have? I am looking for 1tb

This is a SSD one with 256GB and 16GB Ram. If you are after more storage of 1tb then it's not for you. Hope you are aware of SSD and HDD differences

Hi There, many thanks for your reply. I think I need an I7 (without the U) or I5 processor, 8gb Ram and 1tb SSD (well I know I need 1tb HDD, but everyone says to buy an SSD) all for under £500, do you think that's possible? I have a few 1000 documents, photo's and downloads and want to maybe be able to edit some photo's, I'm setting up a business and I'm very confused with it all

This laptop is I5 with16GB Ram and also SSD so it is a very good processor and very quick as well. In my view, if you are using it for managing few documents and editing pictures this should be perfect. Again my personal opinion is to have all our important files in more than one storage device like number of copies with various storage devices rather than keeping everything in one laptop in case if anything happens. It is better to invest in additional storage device with wi-fi capabilities. Hope this helps.

Hi Many thanks for your help! I have my files on Onedrive too just I case so assumed I wouldn't need too much SSD to start. I have found one on here for around £400 with I5, 256 SSD and 8gb RAM but the reviews state the lack of HD screen is very bad, I'm not sure if I need HD for the photo's for my website etc.. Just when I think I'm over one hurdle!

Hi, yes No HD on this but it seems fine to me for watching movies and playing games. but again it's a personal choice as mostly I'll be using it for my work and my son's home work. compare to the other model, I feel this is the good one as this one has got 16 GB Ram which will last for coming few years as it will support new software. Also don't forget this one has got 3yrs Pick up and return for £1.
