The SANTA 10% voucher previously posted is still working to give a delivered price for this of £449.10 with a further 5% from Quidco. This seems to compete well with the Dell offers and provide a more stylish alternative. It is much cheaper here than elsewhere!

why has this been voted cold?

Added price to title Bertt. Do you know which one of those 10% off vouchers is still working? There are several of them so I went to add one but wasn't sure!

i think the SANTA code still works

The 'ONLINE' voucher still works (as in original post)...

I didn't try SANTA - but I believe this also gives free delivery so try it first.

Hard to get non Dell computers seen on this site!

Bertt this a good deal looks like best price around by far and so much better build wise than a dell mate voted hot.

I've updated the initial post to reflect the SANTA voucher as this still works and gives free delivery.

£449 is a very good price for this so could cold voters please explain their response?

Thanks - I've used one myself - don't understand why this so unpopular.

i voted hot =) its cheaper than amazon by £90

Thanks for the updates re codes - didn't realise SANTA was still working

YEA.. THANKS FOR THE SANTA CODE.. i've just ordered the dv6680ea .. the ten percent off and the five percent quidco persuaded me.

NO.4 on the amazon bestselling laptop list, must be a good laptop right? =)

Personally I think it is an OK deal, the problem is there have been some excellent Dell Vostro deals posted in the last week plus other HP deals like hotukdeals.com/ite…gb/ these deals then make this look ok but not cheap.

Im looking for a stylish modern laptop this is nothing like the vostro cheap ugly looking laptops and the other hp plus all the reviews say this is very good and the price is very good as well.

Pc pro say this about the vostro v v v

But the compromises turn up sooner rather than later. A laptop's looks shouldn't have much bearing on its success or failure, but first impressions matter in the real-world: just compare the difference between the Vostro 1500 and the Dell Latitude D430. The Vostro will never be mistaken for anything but a budget laptop. Open it and acres of anonymous black plastic stare back, and while Dell has at least imbued it with some curvy edges, once it's open in front of you it just looks slightly plump. Its weight, 3.1kg, is only just tolerable for regular carrying, but battery life is surprisingly good - 4hrs 04mins under light use.

So for me the vostro is a no no not saying its not a good deal because it is but when it comes down it this is much better for me i have seen this in the shops and its up their with the sonys for looks and quality.

As I said, in my opinion it is an OK deal, however, if you do a search for Pavilion and bring up some of the last deals there are better deals out there, the point I was making is the OP was asking why it wasn't getting hot votes and in my opinion it is because there are a LOT of cheap notebook deals out there at the moment, I would never vote cold....I voted warm, but I couldn't see a way to vote it hot.

Thanks for your response. I think the spec stacks up well in comparison to the other deals around HP and Dell but as you suggest there is plenty of choice for buyers.

It's hot if people think so and hit the button - but cold voting seems to me to be a suggestion that you could buy the same for less elsewhere. This comes in at £427 after Quidco - it is £100+ more at Amazon?

nice find m8! I love HPLaptops......................

Anyone status say anything other than 'new order? Ordered mine friday night and hoping to get it tomorrow.

Something says I should not be holding my breath.

Has anyone recieved this laptop? I might order it cancelled my Dell because it took so long.

Ordered this Laptop yesterday recieved it today, using now. Happy with delivery, nice laptop, graphics is on the down side and thats it.

before ordering
do a google search for dv6000 series wifi disappearing
dv series laptops with amd processors have been experiencing the wifi disappearing and power on problems...
normally starts to occur after 6 months to a year.. but once it starts it just gets worse and your'll need to return to hp to fix
