Great price for the specs if you can sell the headset. Don't know how easy it is though lol

ebay is full of them but you should get £200 after fees & postage.

1050 is the weakest link here, it’ll struggle to drive the HMD.

I have a 1050 in my laptop and it hasn't let me down at all yet - and I have had my headset on with laptop strapped to my back while I wander around outside waving my controllers around like a madman (I am a geek)

1050 paired with the HMD will drive anyone mad, geeks included. 1060 is the recommended GPU for a saner experience.

1060 is the min for a Rift but 1050 really is great for MR - and I speak from experience.

A 1050ti is the minimum spec for Rift due to to it's ASW rendering allowing 45fps to be displayed as 90fps. A 1050 mobile powering a headset without ASW is going to look awful on any real gaming titles.

Mixed reality and virtual reality gaming are not he same thing.

Virtual reality renders the entire scene, mixed reality applies individual models overlaid over a camera image.

A massive difference in processing power.

You are confusing a microsoft mixed reality VR headset with the much more expensive AR (Augmented Reality)

It is a good price for a bundle, but I have to say every HP laptop I've ever owned runs hot and the fans run constantly. Maybe that can be controlled with an app.

Maybe a word of warning but this generation of HP laptop have very common issues with the fans rattling loose after a very short period of time leading to a hideous rattling noise. Could be partly due to an issue the user above mentioned with the fans being constantly on and at full blast all of the time.

John Lewis have the omen version (same specs and mixed reality Headset) for 799 if anyone prefers that

Also 3 year warranty

Definitely go for the Omen version kingpin posted if you were going to choose because it is the latest chassis and the build quality and thermal design are worlds better. The fans are nice and quiet too.
