Looks pretty Hot deal to me. The best I could find for this spec. Reviews are quite decent too for this model. Hope a few members might benefit from this post.

I suspect issue with that particular item as reviews suggest performance is pretty good. Not referring to random buyers reviews here but in-depth independent reviews like this:
notebookcheck.net/HP-…tml

The above review is for i7 processor but there should not be a hell lot of difference.

Saw this before, and it's a good price. If it were a 15.6" it would be a decent deal, but since it's a 14" I would say it's quite a bit better. Nice post.

Not a bad deal I'd say, better than the HP Pavilion deals on Currys/Argos for an inferior spec.

One more reason to select this product over similarly priced HP 250 G6 model is that ProBook 440 G4 is lighter, provides a lot longer battery time and also has USB 3.0 Type-C™ port for faster data transfers.

Argh slightly missed again
I can't find a device with:
- 8th gen cpu
- 14" and FHD screen
- SSD

Currently typing on my 6th gen model from deal here with trade-up cashback last year much the same to this except 7th gen CPU & new USB 3.0 Type-C port. Cost me aroung £300 all in after trade-up cashback.

Now that was a bargain + traded-up a brand new Chinese tablet bought on eBay.

Don't mistake this with others as this is the ProBook series with better finish than their HP Pavilion series.

If only HP would bring back their trade-up cashback deal.

Is this better or worse than the similar priced HP 250 from ebuyer??

ProBook 40 is 14", lighter, powerful battery, has provison for additional RAM, supports USB type C.
HP 250 on the other hand has i7 but other specs (mentioned above) are not as good. Another difference (apparently) is the overall build quality / keyboard etc, as my understanding is Pro series is supposedly better build quality, but I'm not 100% sure about it. One of the comments above make this point however.
