Yes, they'll accept it. Have a look at the previous threads, lots of good info there.

I'm using the same laptop right now with an SSD installed.
Boots up fast and plenty quick enough for my needs

I'm on holiday and not able to complete all the forms etc. I have a laptop that meets the trade in criteria. Is it possible to place an order with Dabs and catch up with the cashback admin when I get back in a couple of days?

Real. See the last posts of deal for similar laptop (code g6w45ea)
hotukdeals.com/dea…=40

The £75 cashbacks (equivalent to the £50 in this deal) are just being paid into bank accounts now. You have to be patient.
The tradein steps may look a bit daunting see tradeuptohp.com/gb/…ted
but if you're buying as a non-business register for the offer as a sole trader hence buisness type will be small business (1 staff member). If unsure of this process a. look at previous post deal and b. ask HP via email

You have 30 days to complete the Tradeup form from when you receive the invoice
The cashback needs to be completed 30 days after purchase
So you will be ok.

Thanks andy5and and Musicrab!

You must register for the promotion online within 30 calendar days of purchasing a Qualifying Product, and must return your qualifying Trade-in to arrive within 30 days of approval of your claim (the “Qualifying Trade-in Period”). For the avoidance of doubt, the day on which you are invoiced for your Qualifying Product will count as day one (1) and claim approval date counts as day one (1). Claims with Trade-ins that arrive after the Qualifying Trade-in Period will not be accepted and will be recycled free of charge.

To enter the Promotion and claim £50/€55 (G6W44EA, M9T24ES, K9J60ET, K9K29ET, K9K47ET) cash back ("Claim"), you must visit hppromotions.co.uk and fill out the online claim form between 30 and 60 days from the date of invoice. Your date of invoice is counted as day 1. You will be asked to provide an invoice number and serial number of your Qualifying Product as proof of purchase. If you provide an incomplete claim form, you will be notified via email and offered the opportunity to provide the required items within fourteen days. If you submit your Claim outside this timeframe, your Claim will be invalid. All documents sent through the post should be sent via recorded delivery.

My wife has one of those laptops; it's fast enough for her purposes, although I have put in an SSD which improves it greatly.

The laptop I handed in had damage to the frame and I still got full payment.

£40 less after cashback/trade up than the i3 version. Good deal.

Sounds about right dabs.com/pro…W00
The i3 is a bit more speedy but probably not noticeably so.

4 gig of ram

I did this before on the 470 G2 with the i5 and dedicated graphics through Co-Op. Ended up paying £140 for it after all the discounts, cashbacks etc came through. It was pretty straightforward tbh and I'd recommend it.

The laptop I bought feels quite sluggish compared to my old HP M6 though which I put an A10-4600M processor into. Disappointed with performance but for the price can't grumble.

I have successfully claimed from previous promotion. However wanted to buy another one last month, and when I asked the question via email I got the the following reply, which put me off.

==========================================

Thank you for your recent email.
For this promotion the maximum amount that you can receive is capped at 50% of the purchase price.
So in regards to the price offered by dabs, the maximum cashback that can be received is 50% of the total. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to get in contact.

No time limits for XP computers so you can trade in a 10 year old unit if you want

Got to 777 degrees 3 months ago when it worked out at £88.25 after cashback HDUK

Also there is quidco available (3%). Which makes it around £120 with delivery charges (+1.99) and the £225 cashback.

My 6 year old lappie had terrible battery and power lead kept falling out. Got full £200 off that offer - several months back. Mate had dodgy screen - got full amount. No wonder HP laying off 30000 staff - haemorrhaging any profits through funding this laptop trade in scheme.

HP should be mad calling this probook.....performance and quality is no where near pro....

Can anyone clarify the point about no age limit for xp machines ? I have an old machine running vista, so newer than xp, but the machine is older than allowed. Does the xp thing mean xp and newer or specifically only xp machines for the age limit not to apply ? I.e would my old vista machine qualify ? I have a newer laptop that does qualify but if i can get shut of the older one under this deal then obviously i would. Cheers
