Yes, another HP Microserver deal. Picked up another on the weekend, as now available for £74.99.

Priced at £189.99, less £100 cachback and a code for £15 off on the frontpage (HP15OFF). Free delivery and pay by debit card brings the price to £74.99. (there are fees for paying by credit card). Best price I've seen and a bargain for what you get.

Excellent deal and a few £s less than the one I posted a few moments later here. I'm so tempted by this but I dont need another. Must resist buying
HOT!

One question for you Microserver gurus - I have a Synology Diskstation which can be programmed to turn on and off per set schedules. I know it depends on the server software but can say Microsoft Windows Home Server 2011 be programmed this way?

TIA
Just about to purchase but concerned about Terms and Conditions point #3. If the code HP15OFF shows on the invoice will my cashback be rejected.

3.

Bought my N37 from Box, still going strong but tempted to upgrade
Okay, I'll ask it. What's the primary use for these? I see them all the time on HUKD but am never sure. Are they for media servers?

You would need BIOS support for the auto on - not sure if the BIOS on this supports that. As for auto off, you can certainly script that through Windows.
I put the code in and get this:
'Offer code HP15OFF applied; £15.00 Off HP N54L Microserver While Stocks Last! (not HP Cashback / Box.co.uk Discount)'
????
I'm not sure how to read it!

Look at 'Lights Out'
AMAZING PRICE!
Would cost you that for the Memory & HDD alone!
I wish I didn't rush in when they were £99. after cashback!
Solaris / ZFS , FreeBSD / ZFS or OpenIndiana / ZFS, still trying to make my mind up.
Any recommendations for best bang for buck RAM?
Can I just add a 4 or 8GB module to the existing 2GB stick or does it need to be matching pairs?
Does the additional one have to be ECC?
Phenomenal value!

Bought.
Damn it! How many of these do I really need?

How many do you have space for? X)
So, does the code void cashback?

Looks like it does!

If so - not good?
I've just ordered one - if receipt has £15 off then could just return under ditance selling regs?
Can this work on a MAc setup?

yes
Ordered, thanks OP after months & months of oohs & aahs. Hope I have made a right choice.
I'm holding until I get confirmation cashback is still eligible.
I've emailed them - can't phone at the moment.
I'm waiting for k9mkii!!
Invoice does not mention £15 off. Just £145.83 + VAT.

Bought one last week to replace a NAS (in home office), used for files sharing/squeezebox. But put on XBMC, new graphics card, and put by TV. Slightly too noisy to be left on 24/7 in living room. Spotted this on Saturday and ordered another, then confessed to my wife :-) (attempted) delivery this morning - missed it.
Just had confirmation that cashback is NOT affected.

Go. Go .Go

Does that not mean A- This is not the HP Cashback (incase people think they are only getting £15 rather than £100) & B - This is a Box.co.uk discount?

I just ordered one of these from CCL with free next day delivery and possible 3% quidco
to buy or not to buy.....

... i do want to at this price but can't think of a reason for another one
Code has now been removed from the box.co.uk homepage.
Now then - time to decide what OS I'm going to go with.

This will be my first HP Proliant after months of nearly buying one

Same here, been watching these for ages!
Just ordered using the code as well. Hope the cash back still works!
Have been wanting one of these for a HTPC setup for a while now but SWMBO finally OK'd it at this price!
Thanks OP!
I've been watching these on HUKD and for £75 it looks like a great toy but I still can't figure out what I'd use it for... but I really want one lol. I have a PS3 for the TV for media, I have tablets and laptops for all my other media uses. I don't really mess around with download servers. I just reckon I'll find a use for one as soon as the promotion ends :-p
Hopefully the server arrives before the 30th:

HP Cash back T&C:
"Product must have been delivered and invoiced between 20th May and 30th June 2013."

...eeek
How many 3.5" bays do these have? I wonder if they can run FreeNAS?
