Tesco are selling the Hewlett Packard PSC 1510 All in one printer for £34.97.
It says previous instore price of £79.99 and amazon are selling the exact same model for £89.99.

Cartridges are around a tenner to replace I think.

We've been looking round for a new printer for a while and opted for one of these, only others on offer I can see cheaply are lexmark which cost a fortune to refill!

We have windows XP and had no problems with installing it.

We read the reviews on amazon before we bought this and opted for it as we don't use a printer heavily.
We've looked at so many printers over the last few months both in terms of initial cost and replacement ink etc, that we were willing to gamble with the odd paper jam reported on amazon for what we paid.

I guess it's individual choice at the end of the day.

I've not used the psc 1500 series printer, but have used the older psc1400, psc 1300, psc 1200 and psc 1100 series. I've not owned all these myself but have used them in various locations.

In my opinion they are great for what they intended for - a low volume, personal printer/scanner/copier. The only complaint I would have if I have to make any would be the rather odd, loud noises that they make that suggests they are about to fall apart, but the one I own has provided 3 years good service so far!

I see no obvious reason why the newer psc 1500 series printer should be any different. There was a psc 1600 series too, but that appeared to be a based on a different platform.

I would say that I think all these models are now obsolete (the number changes every year) and the latest versions are oddly numbered C3180 (or similar)

The C3180 is currently available for ]£39.99 from pcworld
