Got to be hot for £99 if you include that £20 store credit. Nice find!

I got one two weeks and paid just under full price. Well worth that!

I got one a few months back from Isme. same price. well worth it

I bought the 14" version from Argos. It cost me £95. Lovely machine and was singing its praises on here but having had it for some time I have stopped using it completely. The eMMC drive is not upgradable. Its soldered on to the mainboard. I upgraded to Windows 10 using a SD card. Slow as hell after. Only useful for web browsing. Took it on holidays but it just kept freezing on a slow wifi connection. The 11.6 inch version might be a better bet but beware it has serious limitations unless u simply want to check emails and look up things on the net.

Not a bad deal. Heat added.

Ordered for my daughter for Xmas. Can you download and play sims 4 on this?

I would suspect not if it's sims 4. I've watched videos on youtube and this struggles with minecraft and other basic games.

The big question to me is can the Office 365 licence be sold on ebay or is it just an enable it version. If it can be I would get one , if not then no point as I would want to install Chrome OS on it.

It's OOS

Afraid not. Sims 4 us a demanding game. You need a laptop with a dedicated graphics card and that's going to cost you at least twice the price of this.

Great price, and a good buy if you are after an ultra-mobile low power laptop to run Office.
We have and love the similar specced Asus X205TA, so a brief summary may help:
The 32GB flash RAM is slower than an SSD, faster than an SD card
You should budget for a 32GB SD card to extend storage
You can upgrade to Win 10, but you'll need that SD card and it'll take an age to do
The N2840 cpu in this has a passmark of 1067, so it's not fast, but ok for Office 365 and browsing.
This device's strengths are: low price, 1.3kg weight, small size and good battery life.
It's Microsoft's answer to the Chromebook but with the usual Windows user interface and functionality.
Worth noting the Asus X205TA is 980g, while the HP is 1.3kg ...

Which isn't bad for a 11.6 inch screen. If it was 13 or above it'd be terrible.

Hmm tempted

Oh I really thought you could get 4K laptop with dedicated graphics and i7 for £119. Well disappointed now thanks.

I got a 14 inch used for £125
Unsure why people are saying they needed a hard drive or SD card to upgrade I managed to do it with the eMMC. Great for the price, just as good as a £300/400 laptop if not better

Dam! Just bought the 'Pro' version from CCL for £138! Mind you i like that it is black! Annoying that wasn't Windows 8 Pro as supposed to be though! Ah well...I'm typing this on it now and it is a really nice device! I've upgraded to Windows 10 and then done a fresh install...it seems to run loads smoother on W10...great little device...annoying that W10 won't let you move OneDrive to SD card though....I've just moved all my stuff over to GoogleDrive as this is the only one of Dropbox, OneDrive and GoogleDrive that let you save to SD card.

From what I've read the next release of Windows will have these sorts of features, install apps to sd etc...
Bloody annoying it isn't there now though mind... I've got two tablets waiting for apps to sd and OD to sd functionality...

Great price. I paid £175 for it two months ago. Only issue is that it cannot upgrade to Windows 10 because the HD is too small, even after a fresh install.

To be fair, free Google Docs is more than adequate for homework!

Thanks, op. Heat added. I'd like to have one but will wait until the blue version is availible.

There are tools and guides online to extract the license key so as long as you don't active it you would be able to sell it on

Comes down to file compatibility though, no alternative I've found yet formats exactly the same. Close, but there is always some faffing around...
If required, and don't want to continue to pay for 365, just revert to the free on line version of office, and tie it to your One drive...

I have windows 10 on mine. I upgraded by installing from sd card. Though I assume there are probably other ways.

Ends up with more space as windows 10 doesn't need the recovery partition.

It can run the Windows 10 version of Minecraft with no issues, but may struggle with the Java version.

Here's a video of it.

Some of the things stated in the video are outdated, because they're updating it quite rapidly. You can go full-screen, there is multiplayer (between other Windows 10 edition users and mobile players only). You could use the £20 credit to get it. Only costs £7 I think.

10 hour battery makes it ideal for Netflix. As stated above, it runs the Windows 10 Minecraft edition. Despicable Me Minion Rush, Crossy Road, Asphalt 8, Hill Climb Racing and Candy Crush also seem to get a lot of play. Quite a few games on the Windows Store.
