Keep in mind that devices with screens larger than 10.1"+ are not eligible for the free mobile versions of Powerpoint/Word/Excel.

(Personally, I would sooner choose the Lenovo Miix 3. Nicer 1080P screen, and a far more portable device)

Cheap

Really wanted the stream 11 last year when i was at uni but the blue and pink colours were too much for me. This one looks decent but no need for it now...

2GB Memory is totally outdated!

If it had a 1080p screen it would have been perfect.

The difference between this and the miix is that this is an actual laptop (not a tablet with keyboard cover) as it has a standard array of interface ports and an (admittedly weak) laptop processor.

I was happily using Windows 8.1 with 2GB RAM/Z3740 processor. I have just moved to Windows 10...and my RAM usage has dropped by 400MB.

2GB wasn't outdated on 8.1, and it is definitely not outdated on 10! Windows is an incredibly efficient operating system these days.

The Miix has 2 full size USB ports on the keyboard dock, plus a micro USB port, micro SD slot, HDMI slot and microphone/headphone jack on the tablet. What other ports were you looking for?

Mostly USB 3.0, if you are to use this device for any type of media consumption USB 3.0 is essential for me (can't be bothered to wait till a 5GB movie copies on USB 2.0).

But the main reason I wrote that is wrong and that is that I believed that stream 11 offers upgradeability to ssd's and ram which it does not, apologies for my misinformed comment.

Can this be downgraded to Windows 7?

You can clean install a copy of Windows 7, but you will struggle to run Windows 7 on 2GB of ram, if I were you I'd upgrade to 10 as it looks to be very similar to 7 but with better resource management (ram usage etc).

Putting 7 on a machine like this is asking for trouble, for the a start the 32GB storage will kick you in the teeth and then the ram will bite you in the bum. It runs 8 and 10 just fine (Mine has been running 10 Home Edition 64 Bit without a hitch since launch day)

Good deal, cant seem to see the £20 Microsoft Store Voucher valid for the Windows 8/10 Store, Windows Mobile and Xbox Store? Has this offer expired? Also any codes for free (faster) delivery anyone is aware of?

Hey guys, would this run Hearthstone ok? I just want something cheap for light use.

It's £150...!! Do you want the moon on a stick as well?

It would be nice to have it if you have one to spare...

I don't think it is too much too ask, it is virtually a tablet with a rather big screen and keyboard and there are plenty of tablets having 1080p screen at this price point (i.e. the recent kindle fire hdx has 2k screen and cost 149£...)

Simply said I will never again buy a sub 1080p laptop... almost everything else can be replaced and improved upon (apart from cpu). All I said is it checks out all the things I am looking for except 1080p...

I've got 10.5GB once 8 was deleted, I do have some games and apps installed though so probably looking at least 13GB free normally.

It's in the box with the onedrive voucher. the offer expires the end of December and has to be redeemed for IE in Windows 8, microsoft.com/en-…eam gives you the details.

Should run ok I've not tried it on here, but it ran fine on a Linx 8 tablet I had which was less powerful. But the game scales nicely to nearly any hardware.

I have an Asus T100 running Windows 10. It has a 32GB eMMC. Here's my hard drive space;

I currently have about 1.8GB worth of apps installed...and I still have 14.69GB of free space. I dare say if I ran Glary, I could probably get that free space up to about 15.5GB.

In short, Windows 10 has given me so much more usable space. It has resolved the 1 real issue I had with this laptop.
