Looks like a nice price for this.
I returned what I bought last year. It had a hiss sound while using headphones.

Were you listening to Radiohead?
Nice little tablet for the money. I use one to watch videos on. Fits nicely in the pocket or bag so easy to take back & forth to work.

You can check the feedbacks and reviews in YouTube. This tablet is prone for this problem
Bought one of these earlier in the year, surprisingly capable Windows tablet.

worst thing I did was to upgrade mine. Locks up and nowhere near as smooth as windows 8 was. Most annoying thing is that the keyboard disappears under tablet mode now and then
I bought one last time it was this price
Sold the Office subscription for £20 as not needed so it effectively cost me £30
Also don't forget cashback as mine paid out on this product....hope it still applies
bought last year. good for the price

720p is classed as 'HD'. 1080p is referred to as 'Full HD'.
Bought one last year. Great tablet. Running windows 10 on it. Great boot up time compared to my old nexus 1st gen. Yes, it has its issues, noise on the headphone jack, but great value for money none the less.

I got this last time it was a deal here, around March? Static on the headphone port was terrible, pretty much unusable with headphones.

Because HD is defined as 720 vertical pixels, always has been.
Linx 7 which I bought for £39.99 during black Friday was well worth.
I bought one last time they were down to this price and it runs great. Just before anyone complains of the amount of ram. It wasn't as fast as my i7 gaming laptop with 16 times more ram, I didn't complain with myself being a bit of a stoic. I endured, persevered and after about ten minutes I came to the conclusion. It works well. I have a Samsung S5 mini with 1.5 of ram running android without to many apps and I sometimes find it a bit laggy at times.
Been this price for a while. Always got put off by the reviews/complaints about the battery life.

I haven't got round to selling my copy of Office365 (bought back in April off post here), I called MS support and got through to their India office, not entirely sure he knew what I was talking about when I asked him if it expired, he said it didn't, can anyone else who bought this last time round confirm whether there is an expiry date? I was told its 12 months from whenever you activate but a little concerned I sell this and it doesn't work for whoever buys it.

Great deal, even better if you can get £15-£20 for Office sub.

When I bought mine last year, the Office sub had a September expiry date. Dunno whether this has changed for this sale.

Can you stack office 365 subscriptions?

Up to 4 annual subscriptions, I stacked 4 up earlier this year so now have Office until April 2019.
HD actually starts at 480p infact I'm sure there's even 360p

5 actually and you can turn them into O365 home edition also
No HDMI port, slow tablet and very poor battery life and build quality. Linx 7 is much better value for money.
Ill turn it into a center streaming console for the living room tv (stream to chromecast V2) and a Skype end point.

Hey thanks, that was what he was kinda saying and what I'd hoped but I thought someone had mentioned September but couldn't face going back through the 2,370 comments oO on the post. I wonder if this will get anywhere near that last posts 4000+ degrees!

Don't worry go ahead. Sell the code. If it works for the person you got the money. If not provide a refund.

HDMI port is no problem for some people, it is not slow at all, battery life for me is about 7 hrs which is good enough, build quality is fine.

What do you want for £50 ?

Jeez

That's not true I'm afraid. The 'p' just donates that it isn't 'i' for interlaced.
I have one. Some thoughts:

1.
The headphone hissing is unbearable. It changes pitch when you touch the screen, and seems to be a design fault as 'refurbished' warranty replacements were the same. You won't be able to use the tablet for movies on the 'plane / music. The only workable alternative is using Bluetooth headphones, which would probably solve that problem.

2.
The screen is bright enough, sharp enough and responsive enough. You'll see the word "enough" a few times here!

3.
Yes, you can install Windows 10 - I did, and immediately returned to the safe harbour of Windows 8.1.

4.
It's quite heavy for its size, but not that unbalanced and feels 'weighty' rather than 'flimsy'. The power and volume buttons work fine.

5.
The case (mine is black) doesn't stay closed magnetically, but I think it's good enough for the £20 that I paid. I know, paying half the value of the tablet for a case... but it does allow you to 'prop up' or 'stand up' the case.

6.
It takes Micro SD cards for additional storage. Yay. Enough.

7.
If you just want something for web browsing (see #8 below), email and the one or two apps in Windows - it's great.

8.
With Internet Explorer for the 'metro' (full screen) interface, you can change default search to Google (using an 'add-in') and install some 'tracking protection lists' to block a lot of web-based advertising. It's not perfect, but it's good enough for £50.

9.
No, it's not an iPad. If apps - especially tablet-focused apps - are you major concern, save yourself £50 and buy an iPad without buying one of these first.

10.
I wouldn't trust the battery beyond four hours.

So, in conclusion, "good enough for £50" is probably the take-home message.

I found the HP7 to be a very robust device. The build quality on my unit is good. I've used it far more than I intended, been on holiday with it, it's always in my backpack. Never let me down. Battery is fine if you use win10 power saving features. Great device for the money.
