They seem reasonably fair terms to be fair to them. Most people will want to upgrade their laptops that are now 4 to 6 years old Sorry you just missed the cut
Got a old i3 hp laptop . So if I trade that in and buy a £600 laptop I'll get it for 300?
Dang it been trying to get rid of my tower for ages.

The undamaged part will probably be a problem with HP laptops since they seem to fall apart fairly easily.
not sure how old mine is. Would be great if it qualified.

You don't need to trade in an HP laptop as far as I can tell.
Think a chromebook will qualify?

As long as you meet the conditions in the T&C, there's no requirement on it being an HP, or any brand for that matter. tradeuptohp.com/gb/…rms

Done.
Looks like it's not for regular consumers. Point 2 from T&C: "The promotion is open to businesses or organisations operating in mainland UK and Northern Ireland only. This offer is not open to employees of Hewlett Packard (HP), their agents, wholesalers, resellers, retail staff, retailers, participating stockists or anyone connected with the promotion. Claims must be submitted by the end user customer only. Resellers may not submit claims on behalf of their customers."

... unless I am missing something
seems like a good deal
It says available to businesses only

Yes, unfortunately it does appear for businesses only. Sorry guys! Although if you are buying for your business, a good deal nevertheless But I hit expire as it's not available for most.
Expire as its business customers only!
No... Even some previous deals like this were for business too.

I was contacted about vat by hp after purchase... So I contacted them... they said if your business is not vat registered it doesn't matter.

So you could be selling on e*** as your business lol.

Although the terms state businesses only, they do allow consumers to submit claims. This deal has been running now for over a year, there are plenty of other threads about it. The cashback amounts and qualifiying models change every month.
I have a Motorola xoom 10 inch tablet... Wondering if it would qualify..
HP EliteBook 840 G2 Laptop @ £1182 before any trade-in !!!!

I Think the days of paying £1000+ for laptop are history.

Spec as follows :-

Windows 7 Professional 64 (available through downgrade rights from Windows 8.1 Pro)
Intel® Core™ i5-5300U with Intel HD Graphics 5500 (2.3 GHz, up to 2.9 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, 3 MB cache, 2 cores)
35,56 cm (14")
4 GB DDR3L-1600 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB)
500 GB 7200 rpm SATA

How to go about a custom built desktop? Do they ask for receipts?

I bought a 10.1 inch android tablet off ebay solely for the trade in for £40 that they accepted for a similar scheme,

something like this; http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-1-Quad-Core-Android-4-4-Bluetooth-CAMERA-10-inch-Mid-Tablet-PC-8GB-1GB-Wifi-/121549267679?nav=SEARCH

would meet the requirements of the trade in deal.
7: You are eligible to Trade-in up to 50 qualifying Trade-ins per company or individual during the Promotional Period. For TAP Qualifying Products (Schools only) the limit is 100 qualifying Trade-ins per company or individual during the Promotional Period.

says company or individual so may not be company only

How do you know how old your laptop is ? Even if for example a review / release of your laptop was in say 2008 ,but you bought the laptop 12 months later as part of a end of line deal....sadly I have list my receipt for my laptop which might be 6 or 7 years old .
These laptops are old stock and overpriced to start with. Make sure you compare first as they don't look like the bargain they are made out to be.
HP enterprise laptops are fine. The consumer ones another thing entirely and you would need an extendable barge-pole.
HP EliteBook 840 G2 Laptop £1182 (then cashback of £300) Total £882

Asus X555LA Laptop, Intel Core i7, 12GB RAM, 1.5TB, 15.6", Black from john lewis £549 & possible £100 cashback.

Tell me which you would prefer..... and that's before you take into account the Asus is HALF the price!
HP Touchpad is 9.7" screen that could qualify I guess? It was released 2011.
Will this work by trading in a tablet, eg nook hd+?
I'm also here to ask about the nook HD+!
can the qualifying product be bought from any seller or is there a list?
