For those finding fault with the ram or vram it really looks like this is a 60hz panel as it's not specified anywhere that it is 120 or 144 so. This combination should definitely be cable of hitting 60fps in a lot of titles at 1080p. I'd spend 20 squid and upgrade the ram to dual channel if it is upgradeable but. It's a solid ish machine for the price if you are after a laptop with gaming as a secondary preference. If gaming is the sole reason for purchase, give this one a miss and keep saving/waiting.

    I'm pretty sure it's 144hz.

In 2023 i wouldn't buy any machine with 8GB of RAM as its not reasonably future proof, so to me this is e-waste.

It's not like it's not user upgradable, you can just put another 8GB stick in it. I don't know how you'd think that was "e waste" in the slightest.

It's good for the price but it is a shame that these low end gaming laptops use 45% NTSC displays with terrible brightness. For me it ruins the entire device and I'd never buy one because of it.

Currently I use an MSI Summit for my laptop because it has a 400-500 nit 72% NTSC display and also cost me about £520. Had the Victus had a 72% NTSC display @ 300 nits I would certainly consider it, but they just don't do it for some reason.

Cold. Doesn't have 53 pot noodles of RAM.

Am I doing it... Ah never mind.

Can you share the link to a similar spec for £400-£450?
