The HTC 10 is more than just the company's flagship smartphone for 2016. It is what will hopefully bring HTC back on its feet after years of losing precious market share. Knowing this, HTC has done its best to make the 10 as awesome as possible. The phone has the looks and specs to impress, while the software, based on Android 6.0, promises a smooth, fun user experience. Furthermore, the HTC 10 and its reinvented UltraPixel camera hope to wow us with its images and videos. Alas, the front-facing stereo speakers have been dropped, but instead, we're given dedicated woofer and tweeter, powered by individual amplifiers.
1. Carry a microfiber cloth as the camera lens attracts grease and all photos come out blurred unless you clean the lens constantly.
2. Prone to over heating on charge which then causes you to burn your face/hands and the battery inside it expands a bit causing light spots on the LCD
Bare in mind I had mine on release so later versions may have resolved the issues. It was swapped for a different phone after those issues.

At this price, and especially sim free I would happily recommend
Great phone for the price, think we had a code so was about 263. Obviously fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong. 🤞
I must have got a duff one as sometimes I'd wake up in the morning and I'd be able to iron my shirt with my phone (using original charger). Then again a quick google and it's a common issue with this phone. I do remember once falling asleep with the phone next to my pillow and waking up when my face had rolled onto it and almost burned my face
Re the camera, try and take a picture with any lights and see the blur. I take several pics a day (kids).
4G
No was the Grey ZTE Axon 7, a deal posted on here. Ordered on the 25/10. Fingers crossed it arrives.
Long Term Evolution... basically a marketing tool for the technology used in pursuit of 4G standards.
It does. It was dispatched on Monday from HK, arrived via DHL on the Thursday.
Obviously others mileage may vary. The G6 I ordered from them back in June took about 10 working days.
Tried that. They told me to go back to EE as that's who supplied the phone. EE replaced with an S7 Edge as they had no HTC in stock.
I have the 10 and have no idea what you're on about here. WiFi dropping when using mobile data ? Also have M8 and noticed no issues with radio
It's a great phone. Much better than the M9 my wife had and a good step up from the M8 I had.
Battery life isn't too great now though, after about 16 months of use. I may factory reset it soon and restore to see if that helps.
Other than that, it's a good solid phone for that price and as close to vanilla Android as you'll get in a mainstream phone.
Used to be a Sony Z fan - but got fed up poor stability of Z3 and Z5 and poor support from Sony.
Not had any issues with HTC 10 - great battery life, does not get hotter than any of my previous Sony phones.
Still zips along at good speed.
Ah so that's what has caused the marks on my screen! Might try get it replaced for a new one that I can resell just before my warranty and contract is up. Although complicated by the fact I live in Australia now.
Thanks for the info.
Maybe you were lucky but a ex HTC employee joined the company i was working for. He said HTC were fully aware of all the common problems but didn't have budget to recall them.
What actually happens is when you are on Wifi it will disconnect if the mobile coverage switches cell tower or changes from 4g to 3g or vice versa. My missus honor 7 was fine, and when i switched to samsung was also not a issue. Ive only seen it on HTC in different locations so its not my wifi AP or me.
I've seen some reports of WiFi issues with the 10, less so the 8. Mine is fine. Most of the issues can be fixed with radio updates or maybe some early devices had issues.
Maybe true both mine were pre-orders from HTC store directly. Its still a good price for the phone as its sub £300 new I sold mine used for this price in the summer.
The S8 after only 4 months use gets bit laggy swiping the HTC was perfect even with a years use. I hardly have anything installed either... Maybe 5T next.
