The HTC 10 is more than just the company's flagship smartphone for 2016. It is what will hopefully bring HTC back on its feet after years of losing precious market share. Knowing this, HTC has done its best to make the 10 as awesome as possible. The phone has the looks and specs to impress, while the software, based on Android 6.0, promises a smooth, fun user experience. Furthermore, the HTC 10 and its reinvented UltraPixel camera hope to wow us with its images and videos. Alas, the front-facing stereo speakers have been dropped, but instead, we're given dedicated woofer and tweeter, powered by individual amplifiers.

Great phone but a couple of annoying things.

1. Carry a microfiber cloth as the camera lens attracts grease and all photos come out blurred unless you clean the lens constantly.

2. Prone to over heating on charge which then causes you to burn your face/hands and the battery inside it expands a bit causing light spots on the LCD

Bare in mind I had mine on release so later versions may have resolved the issues. It was swapped for a different phone after those issues.

I have had this since Aug 2016, always had HTC smart phones. Had no over heating issues with it, always used the HTC charger though. Camera gets dirty but I've not noticed anything excessive, I have it in a spigen case. I don't take a lot of pictures though.
At this price, and especially sim free I would happily recommend

I've ordered the ZTE Axon 7 with Gearbest. Shipping date keeps getting delayed.

For what it's worth, ordered this for my wife a few weeks ago. Placed order on Sunday, phone arrived on the Thursday. Brand new, sealed.

Great phone for the price, think we had a code so was about 263. Obviously fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong. 🤞

Don’t buy from these crooks.

Fantastic price.

I think this one comes from Far East. Unlikely to arrive in 4 days

I must have got a duff one as sometimes I'd wake up in the morning and I'd be able to iron my shirt with my phone (using original charger). Then again a quick google and it's a common issue with this phone. I do remember once falling asleep with the phone next to my pillow and waking up when my face had rolled onto it and almost burned my face

Re the camera, try and take a picture with any lights and see the blur. I take several pics a day (kids).

No was the Grey ZTE Axon 7, a deal posted on here. Ordered on the 25/10. Fingers crossed it arrives.

Long Term Evolution... basically a marketing tool for the technology used in pursuit of 4G standards.

It does. It was dispatched on Monday from HK, arrived via DHL on the Thursday.
Obviously others mileage may vary. The G6 I ordered from them back in June took about 10 working days.

Please explain?

Great phone but HTC still didn't learn from poor WiFi chipsets over the years. I had the m8 and upgraded to the 10. The way HTC writes their radio firmware it drops WiFi connection when you change between cell towers. Does it on both m8 and 10. I finally sold it after 8 months and got a S8 which doesn't do that particular issue but is now lagging after only 6 months use with slowwiz.

you have a 2yr warranty with HTC, worth trying to claim I had a good experience with them.

I'm thinking of selling my m8 for the u10. Looks like a decent upgrade deal.

+ the chance of being screwed import duty & 20% VAT

Tried that. They told me to go back to EE as that's who supplied the phone. EE replaced with an S7 Edge as they had no HTC in stock.

I have the 10 and have no idea what you're on about here. WiFi dropping when using mobile data ? Also have M8 and noticed no issues with radio

I've had the 10 since launch. Don't have overheating issues but then it's in a case so wouldn't really notice anyway.
It's a great phone. Much better than the M9 my wife had and a good step up from the M8 I had.
Battery life isn't too great now though, after about 16 months of use. I may factory reset it soon and restore to see if that helps.

Other than that, it's a good solid phone for that price and as close to vanilla Android as you'll get in a mainstream phone.

I had the M7 when it came out. It used to get so hot when I charged it whilst using it, it was uncomfortable to hold. The battery died totally after about 16 months, and I was stuck with the phone for 2 years. There's no excuse to still have this design fault after all those years. I personally hated the user interface on the HTC One as well. Since going to Samsung S6 Plus 2 years ago, I haven't even upgraded this time around.

HTC ruined the phone..the speakers are no way near as good as previuous versions..theyve removed them from the front grill and put them on under the edges on either side, not half as loud as previous versions, camera quality rubbish under low lighting..i sold my htc 10 and jumped ship to samsung...lol

We love HTC, but don't like paying import duties...especially when you can buy same model from manufacturer's website for roughly £330

Cracking phone - had mine for just over 12 months.
Used to be a Sony Z fan - but got fed up poor stability of Z3 and Z5 and poor support from Sony.
Not had any issues with HTC 10 - great battery life, does not get hotter than any of my previous Sony phones.
Still zips along at good speed.

Ah so that's what has caused the marks on my screen! Might try get it replaced for a new one that I can resell just before my warranty and contract is up. Although complicated by the fact I live in Australia now.

Thanks for the info.

Beware. They charged me €80 to get my LGG6 back when I returned because they said there was nothing wrong with it.

Maybe you were lucky but a ex HTC employee joined the company i was working for. He said HTC were fully aware of all the common problems but didn't have budget to recall them.

What actually happens is when you are on Wifi it will disconnect if the mobile coverage switches cell tower or changes from 4g to 3g or vice versa. My missus honor 7 was fine, and when i switched to samsung was also not a issue. Ive only seen it on HTC in different locations so its not my wifi AP or me.

I've seen some reports of WiFi issues with the 10, less so the 8. Mine is fine. Most of the issues can be fixed with radio updates or maybe some early devices had issues.

Maybe true both mine were pre-orders from HTC store directly. Its still a good price for the phone as its sub £300 new I sold mine used for this price in the summer.

The S8 after only 4 months use gets bit laggy swiping the HTC was perfect even with a years use. I hardly have anything installed either... Maybe 5T next.
