Speakers were amazing

Speakers were amazing, HTC's flavour of Android was always very nice to use, from the original Desire onwards. I have to admit I hated the camera on the m7 though.

Last phone I had from them was the U11 I think it was called, brilliant phone.

Yeah, HTC sense was the best UI until OnePlus came along, I'd love to actually try this phone, but at this price I'd not even break even on fleabay, shame, if it had of been £50 less I may have given it a go.

Yep, was, it came out at a time when smaller bezels were appearing (or disappearing as it may be) the camera was the same as the pixel line at the time.

Yea that's right because I remember you could squeeze the sides of the phone to trigger functions. I forgot that's where the pixel phones got that from.

Best thing about it was its screen. The most natural colours ive seen on phone to this day.

And being metal, was quite tough.

Lot of love in the room for HTC. Bad decisions unfortunately made them dissappear.

Yeah, something the newer pixels have ditched now ironically.
The original HTC Desire was my first ever Android smartphone. Man I loved that thing, it had everything. Cost me just under £400 in 2010 which felt like an absolute bomb back then, possibly partly because I was a student at the time!
Never knew HTC still existed
First HTC phone I had was the Desire, decided the next phone was the Samsung S2, never went back to a HTC phone after that.

It's nice to see HTC are back.

My HTC Desire was very often overheating and restarting unexpectedly. I was very disappointed with that model. Never returned to HTC after that bad experience.

Mine too! I still have it and use it at times. Such a beautiful phone, it still does not look old!

I am currently using HTC U11. Memories of M7 made me buy it hahah, but this one has been just about okay. Overall I still do like HTC.
I thought HTC are in partnership with Google designing the current Google Pixel phones?

Mine too. I haven’t used it in years but it still works. They always tried to do things the right way.
There are much better phones available at this or a lower price point. And for that reason, I'm out

Why?! This phone was released in 2013 and their camera was actually great for the time! Anandtech's review made me buy it and this is how they described it:

> What’s important for HTC is whether the One is the best shooter among Android phones, and that is definitively the case right now.
> anandtech.com/sho…w/7
Loved HTC Windows Mobile phones. Isn't it now half owned by Google? Quite tempoted by this one.

Like the idea of sending the packaging back to the retailer for recycling. I think.

Yeah. In Ear headphones
I had HTCs for years since the Orange SPV E200, I still have my HTC One M7 my daughter uses to watch videos on the speakers are still great.

Rooting the HTC desire HD and playing with roms will always hold a special place in my mobile heart. Desire HD was my first good android phone and then the m8 was a thing of beauty. I would happily go back to a top end HTC if they made one
HTC died because they thought word of mouth would keep them in rather than spending on marketing, they didn't die because of bad phones.
I found the white balance was always off. Could be just the one I had.
I had the 1st Desire, then Sensation and shifted to Samsung Galaxy S2. Briefly had the HTC 10. Shame things went pear shaped, but good to some lurking around. Heat

Actually they spent a bomb on marketing but made the wrong choices. The hired Robert Downey Jr for a 1 billion marketing campaign!
