Is it locked? How does it compare to moto g 4g. I would like to replace mine

Trusted Reviews:

Pros
  • Unique Micro Splash design
  • Android Marshmallow
Cons
  • Abysmal performance
  • Dull display
  • Poor camera

Looks like your money would be better spent elsewhere.

I don't think so. Description says "If you don't have an active giffgaff SIM you’ll need to buy a minimum £10 goodybag with this phone. You can cancel your goodybag anytime."

It will be unlocked.

It's not a great phone though, and not really an upgrade from the Moto G 1st Gen.

I used one for review a few months ago. The casing is really nice for a plastic phone, but that was where the positives ended for me.

The cameras are awful, the performance is bad, the screen has a sharpening filter applied which looks very odd and can't be switched off (it's disabled after using the camera app, but it's re-enabled when the screen times out). The worst part is the battery life, which struggles to make it through to the evening with low to moderate use.

I can't recommend it at this price, it might be ok at £50, but not £80-£90.

I love how HTC's phone names all sound like condoms... Desire, Touch, Sensation...

Ok thanks for the replies. I'm looking to upgrade but unsure. I would like better camera but same or better performance

"The HTC Desire 530 is a sluggish, entry-level Android phone that simply cuts too many corners to be worth considering."

This phone was bad at launch so now it's even worse.

Bought this new last year. Lasted 6 months.

Terrible phone if I'm honest.
