Got one of these with T-Moblie great phone but I got 900 mins unlimited text and internet for £20 per month.
You need to screw your provider down. Play them against each other to get the best deal.

Cold.

Orange were quite happy to give me

600 mins
unlimited texts
unlimited net

for 18 months for £27.50

Amazing phone though

I got 500 min, unlimited internet and text for £25 a month on O2.

I managed to get 600 mins, unlimited text and internet with free 24 months insurance for £20 per month from Orange

Works well for me.

Managed to sell HTC Desire on ebay for £325.00 and got a brand new Iphone 3GS 32gb for the same price. Straight swop. Not bad for saying I wanted the Iphone but Orange would only do 300 mins, unlimited text and internet for £35 per month plus £128.00 for phone.

Some pretty good deals... I'd be interested to see how many of them were from bartering with their network's rententions dept...?

I've ordered the HTC Desire from an online retailer on T-Mobile, 300 mins, 300 texts, unlimited internet (FUP 3GB capped), free HTC car charger, £9 handset after cashback, for £20/month 24 month contract.

I'm moving from Orange as the best they offered so far is 100 mins, 300 texts, 500MB Internet, £150 handset(!), £20/month for 24 months.

Wondering whether when I call to cancel with Orange, wether their retentions will bother trying to beat the T-mobile deal.. Or whether it'll be worth it anyway given that Orange's Unlimited Internet is capped at 750mb under the Fair Usage Policy!

Everyone should know that nowadays you need to speak to the retention dept to get the best deal, although i didn't have to haggle i was just straight with them and told them what other offers were around and they offered me as above.

If you are looking to go with orange you will have to wait for the handset to come back in stock as it has been out for over a week now but they state it should be back in stock any day now.

My contract is up for renewal next month with t-mobile and I want a HTC desire.

I wish I can get a desire for the sort of deal poeple have got but I have no clue how to do it. What should I ask/say when I ring T-mobile to upgrade next month?

The best thing to do is see what they offer you first, then ring Orange and O2 to see what they can do for you. They will beat T-Mobile then ring T-Mobile back and play them all off against each other worked for me.

Cool thanks, I will try it.
