Great price - but 24 months & a redemption.

10 Months half price? That's hell of a lot of work for nothing much in return lol

But very HOT deal. The cheapest 24month effective contract I've seen. I'm considering it myself!

hot deal but 2 years stuck with orange not for me

Just realised there's a potential £60 quidco making this ridiculously HOT!

474.96 - 60 = Potentially £414.96!!!

Thanks to mod for editing. You could also have a gift, or £20 auto cashback, but if you are willing to put the work in you can get a great deal. May be able to get TCB or Quidco too, not sure.

I paid £630 over the term (24 x £25 and £30 upfront) 6 weeks ago and that was the best deal at the time so this is cracking.

I am leaving orange 3 months early and ordered code, but they said if i went to an orange based deal that they would send a payg sim code. Not done before so if i went for this deal is that payg code good for this ?

cold coz its 2 year contract

you dont get any internet??

good find op, with quidco this is the cheapest yet for a DHD

Wanted to get this but need to flog my HTC desire on eBay but just thinking how much would I get?

could be anything between £150 - £200+ on ebay, or u can opt out for one of these buyers: sellmymobile.com/pho…re/

2 weeks ago the htc desire was worth £196.10, now gone down £10 to £186.10 (top dollar mobile)

yeh im in the same boat, got myself a DHD 24months contract last month now thinking what a huge mistake that was as the 24months contract value seems to have plummeted. oh well

no doubting its the cheapest about though, HOT

Not a fan of e2save to be honest!

looks like an amazing deal, mobiles.co.uk are doing the same tariff for £25 per month but with 4 months half price, @mitchwales whats wrong with e2save? also how does the redemption work?

LOL!! (_;)

It makes me cringe these online redemption deals and gifts. e2save and mobiles.co.uk.

Its horrible not having full trust and signing a lengthy contract.

If you want to use these jokers its up to you. I ordered and Orange San Francisco from these on 4th Dec for £90. Then then sent me a message to call the sales team and informed me that it was out of stock even though they'd taken the money from my account. It is now the 15th I am still waiting for the refund and have now been informed I'm getting a check though the post !! customer service a joke my advice is STEER WELL CLEAR

How does a 500MB allowance stack up on this phone? I’m talking about a moderate user, taking advantage of Wi-Fi wherever possible, not watching many videos but making the most of on-the-go browsing and apps?

I have had this phone for a month with 500Mb data on it, used it moderately similar to the things you have mentioned and after a month's use hardly have used it up. As for deal, its not bad at especially if Quidco is available, Heat added!

I would think twice, or make it 20 times before you go for E2Save. Their cashback is notoriously known to be difficult and unreliable. Mobiles.co.uk is the same. There are very few places out there that give redemption on time/actually give back redemption !! And if your tied in to a 2year contract, the network provider won't care whether you get your cashback or not !!

The most reliable cashback redemption I've found (and I've used them a number of times) is DialAPhone..... but getting a good deal from them is the difficult part.

With 500mb of data it's quite hard to use it all up especially if like me you get Wifi at home and at Uni.

I dont like redemption deals , do must people get the cash back or not?
Good price though considering what it is on vodafone website £30 a month £99 for the phone.
These independant companies must get loads in commission from the networks to afford all the cashback.

Thanks for the replies regarding data usage.

I am seriously contemplating going for this offer. The redemption aspect of it does put me off slightly but what could possibly go wrong if I follow the rules? e2save state a time period of 60 days by which certain bills need to be received. Am I being naive here, having never dealt with a deal by redemption before? 60 days seems quite fair to me?

Feel free to give me your “best” redemption horror stories before I take the plunge on this...

Orange is a pain in the ass, you over by 1mb and you get charged..

No point buying this big ass phone, no doubt its a beast right now, but in a few months when dual core beasts come out such as the LG Star. The Desire HD won't compare, and you'll wish you'd have waited.

Just look at the LG Star, that thing is a tank.

@Ambeopolitik Done around 4 redemption deals 2 12 months contract 12 months free and 2 other ones. The one with E2save was very easy...they even give you the dates to send in by. Beware the smaller operators who have 14day clauses and also demand original bills 9the better ones let you do photocopies)

Hope this helps

good if it's not orange

Thanks dahat.

Am I missing something here about the negativity aimed towards Orange as a network provider; is it their coverage or customer service or just their policy on charging for usage over your allowance? Would paying an extra £2.50 per month (over 24 months still) be worth it for this:
- T-mobile instead of Orange (although haven't they merged?!)
- 600 mins instead of 300 mins
- Not as much redemption cashback at risk (£75 vs. £125 here)
- 1GB data (potentially 3GB from what I’ve heard) vs. 500MB here

if using quidco then deal is not visible unless paste the link here once in.
This page doesn't have the on off e2save and quidco logo flashing, just e2save and no quidco, so will this track or use some other way ?

my mate works for Carphone Warehouse, said 500mb is loads. Great deal although I'm not sure about Orange signal?? I'm leaving 3 as my signal at home is useless

Iam with 3 and I have told them signal is rubbish , when there is no 3 masts you roam to Orange , problem is Orange apparently is texts and calls only not internet , if you do get internet on Orange its so slow. They agreed with me and woohay they have tore up my contact 4 months in on a 24mnth deal. I have to return the phone. Shame its a HTC desire!

just checked out this site's feedback, steer clear!

Bear in mind that this is 300mins, 500 texts and 500Mb. I think 500mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet for 25 pounds is a way better deal.

3 are even worse for coverage now since Orange stopped providing backup in October.

Hot deal BTW!

Has orange stopped coverage now or are they reducing it.
3 are rubbish - vodafone or o2 should buy them out.

Has anyone ordered and received their order? Was the phone branded? How quick was delivery?
