This is instore now, good deal considering they are selling well above this on ebay and are in stock now!
Also if you top up £10 a month you get 100mins 5000 texts and 500mb internet.

Great deal with no 24 month tie in.

Good price.
Is this sim-free without any 3 branding?

^ want to know the same question

is this confirmed. i dont want to waste my time with this or the phone4u deal tmorrow

Not sure about network or whether it is locked but the deal is definitely confirmed.

but is it sim free?

i believe its sim-free because one of my mates got Desire HD with 3 on an upgrade. No 3 apps and Sim Free. Not sure if you can go instore and get one now though

Popped in 5 days ago.. no, it's not Sim-free... It's locked to 3/three.

did you physically try another sim? they most likely say that for you to be put off buying it- they said its locked to 3/three to me when i bought the Desire but i knew it was sim-free.
if you look at the box as well you can tell if its locked or not because it'll have 3/three logo's etc.
they are lying cows...

I bought one from a Three store last Sunday, it was unbranded an unlocked (mine has only ever seen a GiffGaff SIM). The person in the shop said it was their second batch and the original Desires they had were SIM locked in the 2nd batch onwards, so do watch out. They do have a 14-day guarantee to return handsets so long as you haven't started using the Three SIM included.

It is a good deal though - I had a pre-order with Dabs for the same price and they were the cheapest by £20.

I'm sticking to my Desire... its nice and compact- the HD doesn't seem a huge upgrade over the Desire unless you want bigger screen.

no doubt a good price for the HD though.

Hey, has anyone managed to get this recently and, are they still unlocked?
It does seem a good deal for my usage -esp as I think 3 will give free skype, msn, twitter, and live messenger, with their £10 monthly contract sim , which may also have some quidco? This would be great as it should save some of the 1GB monthly limit on that plan. If all that is true it's better than (imho) the 24mth contract dialaphone give on orange

thanks for any advice:)
