Hmm. a touch expensive, in my opinion. 500mins should be about £13, plus and other £5 for unlimited data, this should be around £18, and that's with a phone (although not a great on, TBH), so you are effectively paying about £7 extra per month for the HTC Hero.

£7 times 24months = £168 extra for the phone. How much do you really want an Android phone on Three??

nice deal, wish my contract was up now, not in March!

Thats a pretty easy deal to beat
£24.81 a month on 18months with Vodaphone 600mins unlimited texts free phone

secure-mobiles.com/che…m4e

thats using the graphite phone and not the white one by the way

Would rather go with T Mobile with 800mins, unlimited text, unlimited internet 18 months @ £30.00. Since the Nexus was announced these phones will be slowly dropping in price.

thats a cashback price and doesn't appear to have internet, which you need with this phone

That's a long time to stay with 3!

with respect - do you know anything about this phone? If you did you would realise that £168 for this phone is a massive bargain. Infact it would be the hottest deal ever if you could post an HTC Hero sim free for £168:thumbsup:

This is very similar to the Nexus which is by the way Made by HTC:whistling:

24 months with 3!!!

Ha! 24 months with 3!! My idea of hell!!

24 months with 3!!!

That's a plus point. It means the horrible cancellation phone call is 2 years away!

I've been with 3 for 18 months and have been quite happy with them. They also do tend to have good deals. If I wasn't planning on moving over to an iPhone, then I'd be tempted with this deal.

3?????

Cold!

LOL - don't worry about it, all opinions welcome!!
Yes, I know a little about this phone, have been playing around with Android development for some time now. And, yes, you are correct - £168 for a sim free Hero is great, although, I don't believe Three sell unlocked phone (and how easy is it to unlock a Hero?)
It's a nice phone, ceratinly requires an unlimited data plan to get the most put of it, a little old now (although, I am sure you could always get some help from the xda boys) - still not convinced how much of a bargain it really is

tough choice to make - it would seem that the only people who think the i-Phone is better are the people that own one. People who dont own an i-Phone and are therefore impartial tend to go with the HTC:thinking:

I've been with three for years and have a cracking contract - I pay £5 a month for 750 min, 150 text, 50 video mins and 50 video messages, and also get £5 worth of downloads.

Was with them for a few years on a £35 contract and got a £30 loyalty discount.

Have to say customer services, while in India, has been fine, and they will always call back if there is a problem they can't sort out

So just to clarify... the people who think the iPhone is better go for the iPhone, and the people who think the Hero is better go for the Hero. :-D:p

I don't think that is what he said, let alone what he meant!! Talk about putting words into his mouth!

Sounded like he said that iPhone OWNERS talk up their phone to justify their choice, whereas everyone else would prefer a HTC (at least, that what it sounded like to me!)

So who makes these people who would prefer to buy an HTC buy an iPhone if the only people who prefer the iPhone are the people who already own one?
