Hot Deal if you can get it.

I just phoned up as my contract coming to an end and I don't know if was just the people I got through to but wouldn't do any deals only read to me whats on the web page.

Even when I asked for my PAC and said my wifes 3 mobile phone contract runs out in a months time as well all they would do is give me my PAC :-( very unusual / very disappointed.

Is there a UK call center you can call ?

Regards,

Steve

A good phone but I would not go on that network or do 24 months, too long.

Anyone already on orange and out of contract i rang to cancel mine and was offered the following package.

HTC Hero, 18 month contact, 1000mins, unlimited text, 650mg internet, 2 magic numbers.

Cost £14.66 inc vat per month with no upfront payment.

Was also offered same package with latest phone for a one of charge of £80.

This is how is made up, ignore the call charges and data charges, theyre from the previous month before the contract changes, its the line rental thats charged in advance.

How did you get that. On 02 now but would go back to orange for that.

That is a fantastic deal. I am currently on orange PAYG. Is there anyway I can get this deal? would definitely snap this up, if offered to me.

i was out of contract and threatened to go, was offered a high priced package and told them it wasn't good enough and asked for the pac code, was told no problem and they let me go, a few days later had a phone call from them offering me the above to make me stay. I tried to squeeze orange care for free but she wouldn't have any of it so im paying the £6 a month for that. So its costing 14.66 + 6.00 a month.

Just goes to show that they can do it. play their game and request the pac code and see if you get a call back like i did. I think it all depends on how much you spend each month. My average bill for last 18 months on old contract was around £45/month. I know its a bit steep but looks like its paid off now ive renewed it.

All i can say, anyone out of contract on orange and after a Hero, give them a ring, u got nothing to loose.

This is a really stupid question, but I got my HTC Hero for £20 a month through a deal website, instead of directly through Orange. Will I still be able to negotiate a deal for a good contract when I'm coming near to the end of mine, depite not getting directly from them? If so, I'll happily try my hardest to get a good iPhone deal or whatever.

Plus last week, i managed to get one for my gf whos a previous orange payg customer, in her name as a new contract customer on the following deal.

18 month contact, 400mins, unlimited text, 500mb anytime internet , 1 magic number.

cost was £25/month plus £6 for orange care.

But she was given a £50 credit to her account due to a payg topup reward which was £25 but doubled to £50 so she basically got 2 months free.

They also credited my account with £25 for referring her (rang of my phone and started the deal) so my next bill wont cost a penny.

Its shouldnt matter where the phone was purchased, my old one was from a mobile phone website on a cash back deal. But completely messed up the cashback as theres so many terms you have to stick to.

When I first rang, it started at £25 for the same package with the NHS discount they automatically apply and I never mentioned NHS.

I just persisted and said that wanted more minutes but dont want to pay for the phone.

The only bit of advice I can give is go to the cancel menu when you ring 333 and you get a different set of people then from upgrades I think, they seem to offer you a better deal. I said I needed a new phone and more mins but wasnt prepared to pay for it. I also quoted other websites where I could get similar deals all be it via redemption, just so they understood I was serious.

This deal is not for new customers so voted cold for that reason

The network alone makes this deal cold.

The network isn't as bad as it use too be!

Been on it for over 4 years
