Never heard of this company, but they've got a pretty expensive location for their registered office..35 Brompton Road, South Kensington.

Yeah, cheapest is not always the BEST for a deal.

Not voting one way or the other. I'd like a Hero, but why would I get this instead of getting one on contract from Vodafone for £126 and £10/month? Is it just a network thing?

Desire and HD2 for me.

I have a hero, great phone, only downsides is the camera which isn't good in poor light (no flash) and the battery life, I charge it every night (although i do have wifi/mobile internet on all the time)

Think I'll stick with my magic for now.

how does the touch screen interface compare with the iphone interface?

This is not a great deal considering it is almost 1 year old and the processor speed is half that of the nexus or the desire etc.

I would expect this phone to now retail around £150 if not less in the next few weeks.

can you get tomtom sat nav on these?

Great Phone

brilliant phone. got it from T-Mobile last week on contract. can barely fault it.

I got over £100 for my O2 Stellar on Ebay just before Christmas, and that was 2nd hand & two years old. If this goes for £150 new, its a steal- don't forget the iPhone 3GS is almost a year old too

I've had this phone for last 3 months. top phone if you ask me. agree about the poor camera though

best phone ever IMO:thumbsup:

Miles better!!! I've had both, currently on iphone 3g but would rather have my Hero back

Homescreen is miles better on Hero with active widgets, Iphone is just boring icon after icon. Cruitially the Hero multitasks like a smartphone should do, Iphone closes apps if you get a phone call or reply back to a text message :x

How much per month would I look at paying for this phone, on a contract basis?

Ridiculous price for a mobile phone

It's defiantly a good phone. If you're going to spend £300 on it though I'd still advise to spend the extra £85 to get the HTC Desire.

I agree 100% if you purely want a mobile phone. If you want a mobile internet device however, its worth considering.

Agreed, Android is a far more 'open' OS.... It does lack some of the polish of the iPhone OS though. Multitasking isn't always a good thing too, as it can slow your phone down and you have to use task killers to kill backround processes, but its nice to have option and have the flexibility and control over it. I wish Android 2.1 could be ported to the iPhone hardware, that would be immense!

Yes this is a good point. Either wait a month and get this hero for £150 (Max) or if you really want a phone now pay the extra and get the latest desire. It will last longer as the apps and the operating system wil only get more memory/processor hungry.

Also the Desire has the latest 2.1 Android build where as the Hero has 1.6? or 2.0 version. Not sure if that has officially been upgraded yet. But when it does the Hero will struggle unless HTC optimize the pants off it.

£235 for one at CEX. I got mine from there and it was brand new, unused and comes with 12 month warranty.

Best phone I ever had - until I get the Desire

As other comments have said, the phone is amazing but this should be closer to £200 considering the Desire is right around the corner.

I'm not sure how much the price of a Hero will drop once the Legend comes out. Play.com is taking pre-orders of the Legend at £369.99

I would be patient and wait 2 weeks

Which is probably a solicitors or one of those answering services where you can register you company to a given address, I could have done the same when I formed my limited company it costs peanuts to do

nice phone and a good showcase for Android but when used to (what should be) its full ability, gets frustratingly jerky and slow.

Great phone. Ordering my HTC Desire on pre order tomorrow..
Hopefully it won't take long to be delivered.

Is this better than the Touch Diamond2?

Go with CoPilot instead - quite a reasonable price at about 25 quid, has traffic built-in that you have to pay extra for with a TomTom, nice interface, quicker to reroute than TomTom (fact not assumption - I put my Hero with CoPilot up against TomTom on a 150 mile route and the phone chose a shorter route, and rerouted very quickly when I went off it). Also has a graphic representation of motorway junctions etc to help you stay in the right lane, which is only available on the newest (most expensive) TomToms. Only downside is it is a bit of a powerdrain app, especially when I'm running it alongside the (free) GPS Tracker so my wife at home could see on a live Google map how I was doing for time. On the other hand since you're in the car you can obviously recharge it at the same time anyway so no great loss.
Hope that helps

Where can you get the Desire for £385 out of interest? Tempted by both but might wait a few weeks to see if the Hero get a price drop.

So does it make phone calls for £300?
