Ok, I knew I wanted a HTC Legend and had seen it around the internet for this sort of price. This is £5/months less than the Voda tariffs.

I went into a shop and asked if the prices were negotiable, and they said they could get a team to ring me that has the ability to negotiate and match deals. I told them about this price and they matched it there and then, phone delivered next day. Only up front cost is delivery of £4.99

I reckon it's a pretty good deal as I'll rarely go over 300 minutes and the phone alone is worth £350, so about £6 a month for the call plan.

Worth noting is that you can effectively get this rate if you pay the full Voda website price and claim £90 quidco. Same outcome, just get the money at different times.

Hope this helps someone!

Personally I'd pay a couple of extra pounds for a desire, but not bad

Fair enough. I succumbed to the looks of the legend. Pretty hard to beat deal with this phone though I think.

If people are voting cold could they suggest better deals for this phone on an 18 month contract?

good deal for new customers but if you're already on voda, retentions will do you the same deal for £20 a month

Only over 24 mths - Tried that myself earlier in the week after getting a PAC code - Systems wouldn't allow them to do it on 18 mths - Tried on 3 calls with no joy. Also tried for Desire at £25 with no joy so I've left. You can get £25 mth direct on the legend with a new contract less £90 quidco making it £20 mth on average though.

I'm tempted by this at least Vodafone have some, same situation as you, I'd prefer the Desire if only there were stocks...
Question if you have the handset; the aerial in this is integrated into the battery cover, there are a few feedback issues re the phone dropping signal, have you found this to be the case? Ta
