Not a bad price, it's a good phone, but if you want a better version check out the HTC Desire, the newer model.
Thanks for posting

It's not a newer model just a different one!

I have to agree. This is a great phone I had a chance to play with one a week back. It looks way better look than the Desire and the hero. The price is great, and I'm really impressed by the unibody aluminium case. The way you insert the simcard and SD card is slick too. You can watch iPlayer using BeebPlayer. The whole design coupled with HTC Sense giving an awesome visual experience.

However, if you are looking for something which is technically superior in terms of functionality and specification then you're better off going for the HTC Desire which is currently on for £350 at mobilephonesdirect.com and costs £15 to have it unlocked - so works out same price as this.

Voted hot, because the Legend is still an awesome phone, and is fairly priced at £365 for a totally unbranded and sim-free handset.

Thanks mate, repped. . .

This looks like an amazing fone
Although the HTC Desire is the more superior phone with the bigger screen and faster processor and flash capabilities, I have decided to go for this phone.
It's out on 6th April on Vodafone.

I would suggest NOT buying it sim free though. As vodafone do it for £25 per month on a 24 month contract and Topcashback give £120 (25 x 24 = £600, minus Cost of phone and Cashback, 600 - 120 - 365 = £115, divided over 24 months = £4.80 per month) and you get 300 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb of internet browsing

A good fone with a cheap contract

That is a odd calculation. Why are you subtracting the cost of the phone?
It works out £20 per month which is okay but not much of a deal because you're tied for 2 years.

I'm on the lookout for deals on this handset. Vodafone, at least for the short-term, have an exclusive deal on this phone so I can't see prices improving much over the next couple of months. Also the Tmobile tariffs on the Desire are so much better for a superior phone, which makes it kinda hard to part with my money for the Legend.

Check out ebay if your looking for great deals on these phone, i selling mine on there for around 320.

The Legend is good but the Desire is better specced and only £349.99 UNBRANDED and UNLOCKED from 3 Mobile from the 20th April.

This is the non-3 branded version of the phone. Once again, based on your comments on the blog, we’ve decided to launch this version. You’re making us revisit the way we do business.

The generic version of the Desire, which we’ll be selling until mid May, won’t be locked to 3.
When we say unbranded that means that apps like Skype and Windows Live Messenger won’t be pre-installed, and you won’t get direct links to Planet 3 or Favourites (or our lovely 3 logo wallpaper!).

Black is exclusive to another network so we’ll be ranging graphite (brown) on both the generic and branded versions of the Desire.

nice phone, wish I had held on a bit now!

The Legend looks great but I think I will wait for the very similar looking iphone 4G in June.

Better or worse (or same as) the Google Phone (also made by HTC)

The Google Phone (Nexus One) is higher-speced thats for sure but the Legend has it own advantages.

It's made from an aluminum uni-body. The processer is slower than the Nexus One and the screen resolution is half that of the N1 and slightly smaller too but that should result in extended battery life in comparison.

The 1 thing the N1 has going for it over anything else is the (Dual Mic) Noise Cancellation feature.

This price isn't special, compare on Google shopping. SuperTrader, Handec even Play are the same price roughly.
