HTC BoomSound - Dual frontal stereo speakers.

Lol. The names some companies come up with for basic components is BoomGenius!

If you are a giffgaff user & have an older sim you will need to do a sim swap to the new version as the HTC One is a micro sim. I only discovered this after buying the HTC. Info on sim swap can be found on giffgaff but basically means ordering a new sim & transfering the number from the old sim. Takes about 10 mins to set up.

2x Nexus + 70 beers = HTC one. Choice is yours

I've got the HTC One and really with the price of the Nexus 4 I wouldn't even consider this. It's a lovely phone but not worth over twice the price.

Hot for the fact it's the cheapest at the moment, but there are better things to spend your money on in terms of bang for buck.

nexus 4 is not comparible to this phone.

To each of their own, but to me, HTC One over N4. Screen with accurate colour, higher density, boom sound, metal construction and the better camera for low light. I will take HTC One definitely given I have the money.

How'd you work that out? LOL. besides LTE, a very impressive screen and high capacity... how are they not comparable?

I love this phone a lot and I have a Nexus 4 but I do not see how anyone can justify £420 vs £160/£200 unless you have more money than sense (obviously I'm talking bang for buck here)

Because this is more powerful and has much better build quality.

It's probably the best Android phone out there, as long as you never break the screen as you'll find it nigh on impossible to repair. I have a Nexus 4 and whilst the HTC One is good it's not on my upgrade path, as it's not a significant enough change.

Phone isn't bad but certainly nothing amazing imo.

The main kicker is that HTC have TERRIBLE customer service.

Spent around 6 hours ringing them up, had it shipped back 3 times (once taking over a month to come back) trying to get it fixed, it's still not fixed and i have given up.

My lesson was learnt, if you rely on a phone go with Apple who will just swap it out there and then.

Got this on upgrade a couple of weeks ago, fantastic phone. Awesome screen and sound, and very fast. Looks and feels real quality as well.

Love my HTC One. Heated.

Same experience with sony, although I am not regreting moving from iphone, I am missing their C/S.

If you buy this phone, you have more money than sense especially with the price of Nexus 4 right now. You do not get 2 and a bit more phone for your money with this.

seriously good phone

I have had this phone a few weeks. Superb screen. Camera is as good as any phone out there. Even though it is android there is a bit of a learning curve if you are used to a Samsung etc. but I don't plan on changing for a couple of years now so it is worth the effort.

I need at least 32gb, nexus doesn't cut it.

Nexus charges £40 per 8gb memory, so if there was a Nexus 4 with 32gb it would be £289 even with the big discount yesterday... Just saying....

The differences between the HTC One and Nexus 4 are huge. I have both phones, and HTC One has some awesome speakers. You must hear it for yourselves to actually hear the differences. My HTC One is my daily driver and will be for the next few years!

Front speakers all the way! Will never buy a phone which doesnt have frontal speakers in the future.

Bonkers to pay £418 outright for this.

I paid £403 over 18 months, with a good contract!

I think they outsource their repairs which is the problem, when I sent them my phone it came back untouched. Arranging it was fine, I used their online chat rather than phoning them.

I had a diff experience with them. Screen stopped working in a few places on my EVO 3D. Chatted with for a few mins on that, then spoke to someone on a phone. Arranged a collection for the next day, got my phone back 6 days later with a new screen and I think a refurbishment (buttons were stiffer to begin with). PS mt phone was 18 months old at the time. V good customer service.

I paid £360 for mine about 4 month ago, it was less than 2 weeks old, went from a Nexus 4 to this and have not regretted it since.

Yup the Nexus 4 is a v good phone. But It's like the new San Francisco compared to this though. Anyone that thinks its comparable is deluded...

Whilst the Nexus 4 is cheap, it has cut corners such as lame cameras, bad battery, low speaker volume, no 4G, low contrast screen, lower pixel density, inferior build quality etc

Amazing phone, paid £250 myself about 2 months ago but that was a haggle with EE over their 80085 pic on their website LOL

Heat!

The most awesome phone the world has ever produced. Great looks, great screen, great sound, great OS (well, HTC Sense).

Rocks my world but then I managed to wangle it for £280. Bit too expensive at this price compared to Nexus.

Best phone ever made. 99.9 % of all tech reviews agree too. Got mine free on a 24mth deal for £25 with 1000 mins unltd texts and unltd data from T mobile. I could use this phone for another 5 years and not get bored

I have had to send two back due to build quality which was well documented with the fist batch with gaps and uneven screen etc. I finally get a good phone but now I have a camera issue where it cant seem to focus and pictures are blurry again a quick search shows many have the same issue. I ordered in April, its now Aug nearly September and I haven't got a 100% working phone.
Deal wise very good got £100 Quidco £35 18 months with redemption. Total ownership £414 or thereabouts just a shame HTC don't have the best standards.

Told them their advert offended me and contacted the MD of EE

I just received my htc one today. upgraded through Phones4U on orange.

they offered me a free handset with 600 mins unltd texts and 1gb data for £31 pm for 24 month and £75 automatic cash back.
total cost = £31 x 24= £744 (£669 after cash back) i quickly took it but then realised it was too expensive.
so i rang them again about 1 hour later and asked to change the plan. since i was already on a 18 month contract they let me cut it down to 18 months but the data and the minutes reduced as well. 400mins and 750mb data. They still gave the handset free for £31 pm plus the £75 automatic cash back which i insisted.
