still think it's £50 too much for 2014 tech.
This is the M8s, not the high end M8.
Weaker camera and processer.
Nice spec and build. Heat
Misleading. Cold

How is it?

It says its the M8s clear in the title.

£200 is the right price, same as the Moto X Play with the same CPU and basic specs.

Not as good as an LG G2.

And you can pick one of those up new for about £90 on fleabay.

Still the best price these have been mind.

There was no s next to M8 in your title. I rather would go to Vodaphone shop. Try get lg g4 for £25 more.

I still think it's overpriced at £200. The specs are also the same as the significantly cheaper VF Smart Ultra 6. I would happily pay more for the better build quality that the HTC M8s offers, but not close to double the price.
It's not a lot better than the HTC One (M7) >

awful colour, otherwise good phone
The saving shown isn't the true saving as it was on sale at a lower price as you will see the bottom of the webpage states - Please note item 4629236 has previously been on sale at 219.99. So you are really only saving £20 which is still better than nothing but no where near the £150 shown!
Android phones have had their day. 2015 was a terrible year for Android phones, apart from Samsung Galaxy S6 (with terrible battery) and Nexus 6P (for Dom Joly).
£85 more than a smart ultra 6, no thanks!

"Android phones have had their day" poor quality trolling. But I am intrigued to hear your take on who's day it is now?

wasn't great for apple either or windows or (obviously!) blackberry - phones have caught up to where the innovation got to. Until something new comes along it'll just be more pixels, more ram, more megapixels, less bezel, same battery life.
If Android phones have had their day....

And only yesterday they said Apple had had their day.

Who's day is it right now??

I think Sagem or Sendo are due for a comeback... Maybe Siemens.

As spoken by a non Android owner I'm guessing.
This is a 2 year old phone
I wouldn't pay that for a new phone!

So Nokia had their day, then Apple, then Google.

So whose day is it now?

Here's a review which points out the differences rather than looking at kneejerk responses from some of the posts above

I think you may have something there.
A perception problem.

It's still Android/Google running the show. Apple are overpriced and they break easily if you drop it a couple cms off the ground. Decent phone and amazing price for the M8s (would be epic if you can get rid of HTC sense and make it stock google then this would be EPIC!!!

Well you can.. You can flash this phone and install the Google play edition version. This is what im currently using plus i get all security updates just like any nexus phone. Super fast phone and battery life is great.
is this dual-sim?

Donald Trump.

In a few years we will all have solid gold mobile phones.

I don't think that's possible on the M8s is it? Only the original higher spec M8 was released as a GPE phone. The M8s is not the same phone.
Good price

Worth bearing in mind that you can get this phone for £147.99 from mobilephonesdirect.co.uk with a £12.50 per month contract. It won't suit everyone of course, but on the basis that 1,000 minutes / 2GB data contracts don't get much cheaper than £12.50 anyway (nearest comparable as far as I can see is TalkMobile £10 per month (12 months) for 3,000 minutes and 4GB data), and you're going to need to pay something for a SIM to go in this, it seems a good deal to me.

Horses for courses of course but don't rule out something that isn't at the ends of the £lots up front, £small monthly and £free upfront and £lots monthly scale.
I think the high heat on this is mainly because of confusion with the flagship HTC One M8, when this is the lesser M8s

You can get a brand new LG G3 from Amazon for pretty much the same price. Proof
cold. you can get a 32gb moto x for cheaper.
This is a bit of weird phone really, on one hand it has a good screen but on the other it has the same processor as an Xperia M4 Aqua which can/could be had for £99
