got one of these myself, amazing phone!

Original Poster

why are people voting this cold where is a better deal?

Could you not buy this sim free and then just go Three or Giff Gaff pay monthly?..That way then its less reliant on redemption which can be funny as well as not being locked into a contract?

+ 24 month contract *shivers*

*not voted as deal a matter of opinion*

Great deal!

Not sure if i'd want the X though

Looks like a good phone but the 16gb of storage is just rubbish seeing as you can buy 32GB microSD cards for well under £15 now. Not a good move from HTC and the main reason why I couldn't go for this or the "one X". It is not a dealbreaker for most people but I use my phone as an mp3 player too so ~11GB of available storage (after system files) will not go very far. I wonder what Samsung will come out with in the GS3 in two weeks.

^ I think the "one X" has 32GB but it is still not enough for me ^

Considering the prices of 64GB microSD cards are coming down too, I have half an eye and hope on the Galaxy S III having expandable storage

Think you guys are being too picky for the price you are paying on this offer

Thought technically wasn't for UK folk yet?

Has to be said, that's a very good deal.

battery life is poor.why htc not able to do removable battery so that we can carry i xtra incase

Technically Schmecnically, I've been using it for months now with no problems. Excellent piece of software.

HTC haven't been doing too well recently, they need this model to sell well imo to maintain some sort of market share. Would be a shame to see them stop producing phones, I really love them. Currently have a Sensation, the One X does look nice though...

Not to flame but One Ss been reported with chipping issues on the casing:

Was wondering what your point was at first, as I was thinking that you can just add a microsd card, but wow, no microsd card slot, that is a HUGE flaw. So is the lack of the removable battery. Don't think I could buy a phone with either of these flaws.

Otherwise not a bad deal.

got one myself, brilliant phone but the chipping issue is very common

on my second one due to the screen having a smudge under a button, slight loss of black inside the usb port but nothing major, htc are replacing them for free in the next 24 months if your handset chips so it's all good

hukd owners thread but not many posts, couple of pictures of mine in the first post if anyone wants a closer look

i get no less than 14 hours out of my one s, which is more than my desire with one of those super huge batteries and the one s charges from 10% to 100% in around an hour

The reason why HTC haven't put expandable storage in is because Android ICS file system doesn't act as USB Mass storage anymore. It's recognised as a MTP device and its total shared memory between everything.

Thats how it is on my Galaxy Nexus sadly and lack of storage is its limitation

Yeah.. I know what you mean but I am not convinced by the cloud yet. Maybe when we have blanket 4G LTE coverage and world roaming data plans but at the moment I think the technology is not there. I can fit everything I want on a galaxy S2 with a 32GB microSD + the 16GB internal. HTC could have easily bumped up the storage to 32GB and 64GB for a few quid but decided not to. I like samsung because they obviously chucked just about the best they had of every component in to the gs2 and that is why it is still one of the best phones you can buy 12 months after it was released. Nokia used to do that before they lost the plot. Hopefully samsung will do the same with the GS3 and blow everyone away again.

This is still a cracking deal for a phone of this quality if you can keep on top of the paperwork. I don't think the chipping is a big deal. I think HTC just give you a new one if yours is effected.

I still don't know how my missus managed to do it, but she managed to get a retention deal for the One S with Orange that seems pretty unbeatable.

600 mins, 600 texts, 500Mb data, 30 picture messages for £13.98 and £60 for the phone!!!!

I'm trying to get a similar deal with T-Mobile and can't get anywhere close!

Anyway, heat added. It's a nice phone.

Can anyone recommend a case for this phone?

Amazing camera, battery is better than Desire and you get 25 gig drop box for 2 years. I've got Sensation and r lass as just got one s and imho the one s is better. On a side note you only get just over 9 gig available on the phone.

Me too it's Quality , don't understand the bad reviews .

Galaxy S2 is better, just sayin'

How do redemptions work nowadays? I believe afew years ago you needed to send single bills off, but only on specific days/dates and any late ones would loosing that months redemptions etc.... Basically the companies made it as hard as possible to get that money, is this still the case?
It's the only thing stopping me from going ahead with this offer...

They mean that the phone case seems to be a bit fragile, and is prone to damage.

click on t-mobile, then 24 months and its about halfway down the list. hope this helps.

If people want greater certainty/ can't be bothered to redeem you can replace claimed cashback with £60 of auto cashback, with quidco makes it £21 p/m, no hassle £504 total cost, phone is 420 sim free, so eighty quid odd for contract and interest on purchasing phone up front. Good deal.

not really, the phone itself costs more on its own than what this deal costs, redemption is very easy with this company, if you mess it up then you probably deserve it. 3 is a terrible network as well (reception and customer service)

Am I right in thinking I can go through quidco and get £60 cashback as an alternative to Topcashback (I've had issues with Topcashback tracking in the past...)????

kind regards,
Al

Wrong!

The Galaxy Nexus and other Vanilla droid phones do, but HTC has implemented USB Mass storage for the One Series.
