Has anyone had a better offer than this? :Just been offered this deal as a renewal. £30pm 250min 150 Texts Unlimited Internet & Email on a 24m contract. Can downgrade after month 9. I know it isn't amazing, but has anyone done better, and how?

What contract are you on at the moment?
I'm with vodafone on the £16/month 750mins/1000txts and after I tried to cancel and move to Orange, they gave me the Samsung Omnia for free. I wish i'd waited until the HTC Touch was available, I think it is a nicer piece of kit.
So, just ring the cancellations dept., and not the upgrade dept., to try your luck.

should have asked about the HTC Touch HD

Much better looking

HTC Touch Pro looks like a poor Sony Xperia1 which is soon to release

That's a blinding deal mate! I did not know they had a £16 tariff. I am currently on a £20 tariff but only has 150 mins and 200 texts with no internet and that was an 18 month contract which is just coming to it's end. How long did you have to renew for to get the free Omnia and does your plan include internet?

Hi matey, sorry i'll be a little more specific, before you get too excited
My tariff is 750mins off-peak to other vodafone or landlines, it's NOT xnet... which is perfect for me but maybe not for you.
I had to re-sign for a 24months contract.
They gave me 1 month of free internet access, but after that I think it is £7.50/month.
Anyway, if you want to stick with your current tariff just ring the cancellations department and ask for a PAC code mentioning that you are considering a move to another network. The cancellations department have much more power than the upgrade department, so they will pretty much give you whatever you want.
HTH...

Thanks for the reply, but the deal I was offered came from (i think) the retentions department as I got passed thru after I asked the customer services dept for my pac code. Originally I had asked for the N96 but changed my mind after seeing the Touch Pro in action as the screen is so hi res for internet compared to the N96, so when the guy rang me back, he said either phone was the same cost to Vodafone so I could have either for the same price plan. And you were right about your plan, as I need x network mins, so my excitement about your offer has eased a little!
