All that QHD screen estate and power-thirsty SD821. Powered by 3000 mAh. Great for power bank enthusiasts. Battery aside, the phone is interesting and it's a good price for this device.
Use to love my UU, fab for droning display, as it was so bright in daylight and the resolution and 540ppi was right up there with my Samsung Note 4, this is a fab price for new, plus for all those that still use those prehistoric MicroSD cards.. you can stuff an up to 2TB one in it!!

Media and movies on this were brilliant, very fast with the SD821 in it and no lag, with a ton of apps / things going on!

I stuffed Android 9 Pieface on mine, before she went off to the smartphone afterlife, made it fly!

i had this phone for six months-great phone battery life and soooo wide display- nice to type with big fingers
I currently have one of these and can safely say it is the worst phone I have ever had since smart phones came into existence. Very glitchy, dodgy battery charging issues and my latest issue is it goes into some restart loop and the phone has to be manually restarted to resolve it. I'd rather have a refurbished galaxy s7 than this.

strange....never had anything above...
You got lucky. I'm having to charge mine twice a day!
Love mine but the battery life is rubbish.

Then you need to get it lean&clean and get shot of all the junkinthetruck!!

Do not know anyone, even back in the day when these were £700 from utc, that had any issues, just flash it with twrp clean and get Android 9 on it, the S7 is garbage compared to this model at this price!

The Camera stopped working on ours at 12 months old , everything else works perfectly and its like new , never been dropped or been in contact with water.
Have tried doing soft reset, then full blown hard reset and have been unable to fix the problem. Has anyone else had a similar issue or has any tips on how to fix it if it is a software issue. Firmware is updated to latest. Thanks in advance ….
i got it from amazon Germany a year and a half ago for £240ish, but unfortunately dropped it and smashed glass back cover in pieces...Still missing it for its main display, and the second one...

I don't have any games on it. A few apps including hukd of course, eBay and Amazon. I don't have any social media at all. I have about 30 images stored on the phone and nothing else.

Regardless of all that and if you do or don't lee, just get it back to factory state first, see if its ok, then if it is, get it off Nog or Oero onto something newer from XDA
I'll give it a go. Thanks for the info

What's prehistoric about microsd cards firstly? Phones with crap*y storage options and not upgradeable are cr*p and not everyone wants to spend on junk like Spotify premium or other streaming for music and buying huge data packages monthly to support it. Some of us like to have proper stuff on our phones where no internet is needed either.
Also there is a promotion to get a free power bank worth £9.99 with any phone over £100.

I think I bought one at about the same time and for similar price.

HTC haven't rolled out updates since the Oreo upgrade - and that seemed to reduce battery life (it became ever worse, even with resets etc.). Eventually decided to replace it as it was struggling to get through a day out on a single charge.

Given that I still have it lying in a drawer at the moment, I might follow bitcoin5's advice and seek a ROM on XDA...

I second that. MicroSD Cards are not prehistoric. They are immensely useful. Fact.
Out of stock for me

I have to be honest I don’t know why you’d choose this instead of an S7 Edge unless you really wanted to take the left-field choice. It was and is an interesting phone but I don’t think I’d want to pay more than about £100-120 for it today - feel as though HTC’s last great phone was the One M7.

Well as you have asked... they are a near on 15 year old technology, Dram / nand flash storage and the like, is a zillion times faster and you cannot loose it down the loo or drop it in your soup... as its in your phone, so you have to loose the whole thing!

Most of the people that "stream" are not streaming junk, they are streaming, as they have an unlimited choice of any genres, year or niche of music, books or podcasts... so for £2 a month from Turkey, a lot prefer it!

I was not knocking what people do with them, when I got my UU for Christmas in 2016 (late present in Jan!) it was the nuts that I could put a MicroSD card of up to 2TB in it.. that was until I saw how much a 256gb one was, let alone a 2tb one!!

As for phones with c.rappy storage as you put it, 128gb is more than enough for most normal, want to carry around 31 days of music without going on the internet every again users.. even my Note 9, which is 512gb is super mega over kill, but that is the way its going....
Luxury of a phone for this money, including usb-headphones in box, or official 3.5mm adapter, often also included. Shame it's no longer supported software-wise, can still go on excellent Oreo skin for a couple of years, unless you're really discerning/sophisticated customer, flashing Pie like suggested above

What does the age of the technology have to do with it? You're most likely writing your naieve comment from a device with an x86 or ARM CPU - both technologies are a LOT older than 15 years.

Modern SD cards are nothing like those of the past. I had one of the first SD cards, it was 64MB, huge at the time, cost a load. It was before they were even called MicroSD cards, they were called transflash. I could write to it at about 100KB/s, and read from it at about 250KB/s. My internet was faster.

Just like we have modern "old technology" x86 and ARM cpus, we have modern MicroSD cards, now on their 4th version (Try an SDXC UHS-III card in a 15 year old transflash slot - it won't work), with 100MB/s speeds and as of now, 1TB capacities, more than enough for anything you're going to do on a phone.

Except 128gb isn't anywhere near enough. I have 128gb honor 9 and have a 400gb card as well. The music and apps I run means my internal is almost full.

Sorry but I don't pay for streaming as I dont pay to rent inviisble stuff. Won't spend unless I can physically have it. That goes for music, Netflix, books and cloud storage.

I like to weigh up and micro SD card and 3.5mm jack on any phone is a must.
