Saw this and seems a bit of a bargain, it you fancy a near to flagship 2017 specced mobile but without the £600+ price tag!

The phone came in for some criticism when launched, as the phone was considered a boring design and nothing innovative for the £600+ price tag it was demanding at the time! But fast forward six months and many of these faults can be forgiven when the price being asked is less than many mid-range phones and still from a trusted well known manufacturer.

The phone has a dual display, with a small notification screen towards the top right of the phone, making it similar to the LG V20/V30 phones. Some find this more useful than others.

The rear camera also gets some good reviews.

For you people into updates, HTC have confirmed the phone will be getting Android 8 (Oreo).

The main criticism is the 3000 mAh Battery, which might not last all day for power users and their is no 3.5mm headphone jack, and have to use the supplied headphones, which do however get very positive reviews!
(If you want to connect your own headphone via a 3.5mm headphone jack, you have to buy the genuine HTC adapter, as others will not work in the USB-C connector.)

You can get 2% cashback via Quidco and TopCashBack and as you click around the E-Global website, it regularly pops up with money off vouchers if you subscribe to their emails and can probably get a further £10 off.

Full specs can be found below on the link to HTC UK.

No need of Oneplus 5t when the U Ultra has a better camera half the price. Very good review over here:

Found this very honest review of the phone, after he has had the phone for nine months, and on the whole it is very positive.

Highly recommend J. Williams reviews on YouTube, they are to the point, not fancy, not begging to subscribe and don't seem to be sponsored by the manufacturers!

E-Global Central UK is a bit of a scam name as they are based in China. Doesn't mean you won't get your goods as ordered but returns or issues are complicated by being in china not the uk!
Good reviews for phone...truly abysmal reviews for E global. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.
If you buy from them DON'T use paypal as you can't get any protection under section 75. Chargeback is possible but difficult. Is it worth the gamble?

- Well this has a larger screen 5.7inch as opposed to 5.2 on the Honor 8, so depends how you feel about that...(?)
- This phone will be getting Android 8.
- Camera's are meant to be very good on this phone.
- There is no 3.5mm Headphone Jack on this phone.
- The battery on this phone might not last all day if you are a power user, but reading the Honor 8 post, people give mixed reviews about that battery.
- I think the processor on this phone will be faster and has the same amount of storage of 64GB and 4GB of RAM.
This is a lot of phone for the price. Granted, there will be some grumbles due to it being eGlobal
Brill phone!Got it from Amazon de a week earlier!

Don’t buy this just because the deal went hot they are fraudstres. I posted Nintendo Switch deal which I thought was quite a bargain and I’m happy it went cold when I saw their reviews.

Not sure why people are voting hot, but stay clear from them to avoid disappointment.

I strongly believe any company with poor trustpilot reviews should be banned here.

Sorry I thought e global was a Yorkshire company
This phone failed miserably when released as it was over priced & had many problems but after a few updates it's an excellent phone even if it was £500

There's a few reviews lately that have been v positive on YT

When I bought my tablet from them a year and a bit ago, it didn't come from China.
I've never trusted sites like this from reading countless reviews.
Most people seem to have a torrid time dealing with them, but if you have a bad experience then you are more willing to leave feedback then if you just had a normal experience I suppose.
Having said that I personally wouldn't use them.
Very have the u ultra at £299.99 with a £30 discount code, so I'd go for that.
very is a UK company, trusted company, and the phone will have a UK warranty
I bought a Samsung smart phone from them and had no issues
Wow, scrolling through the eglobal website is horrendous, I'd stay clear just for that tbh.
A well managed website gives you confidence to buy products, a website that doesn't scroll properly, probably isn't the most genuine website around #justsaying
I recently purchased an HTC U11 using the 20% off Ebay deal from ionorchard. They are currently selling the Ultra for £235.90

ebay.co.uk/itm…111

I've had my phone for a few days now and been very pleased with it and the delivery from the seller. DPD label said it was sent from a Salford location. Might be worth considering as an option to using E-Global.

eGlobal have too many truly bad reviews all over the web to ignore them simply as the ramblings of a few disgruntled customers. Personally, I somehow doubt that I would be able to sleep easily if I ordered from them, so I won't be. Good luck to anyone who does though as they might well need it.

I have this phone & my first reaction when I opened box was bloody hell, it's massive. Only downside is battery doesn't last as long as I'd like.

Yes, I considered that after seeing the information on the listing page, but looking at the feedback from buyers of the phone and given ebay protection etc thought I would give it a go. So far so good :-)
£299 at Very so for those doubting E-global, with extra £75 you can have it from UK seller
I have personally voted cold sorry op, but only because it's from eglobal.
Worth checking the dimensions on this before you pull the trigger. She's a big mother.. Same size screen as an LG g6 but much larger body.
Please stop bashing Chinese sellers... Everyone knows the risks and benefits (saving a few bob or more)!

Just compared with my Pixel xl and yeah you're correct it's even bigger than that so I'm going to give it a miss purely based on size!
Is this the cheapest 800 Snapdragon phone. Most of these Chinese phones come with 600 processors so I'm discounting those
I'm wondering those that always come to these threads shouting fraudsters and scammers have actually ever used these HK sites?
I've use GearBest to buy a mini PC a few years back, although it took a month to come (expected), it still got here without extra charges. I ordered an LG V20 from Toby's deals (sister site of eGlobal??) And the phone took 4 days to arrive without any extra charges either. I understand if something went wrong it maybe an issue, but in all honesty how often have you needed to use warranty on an item? And if you use a credit card or have contents insurance there is even more peace of mind.
Good deal but dual sim mobiles, whether you use them with a single sim or two sims, effectively double the amount of radiation you subject your grey matter to. Wouldn't touch one with a bargepole no matter how good the deal.
People are voting hot because of the phone, not the fact that the deal is from E-Global
I've knowingly taken the risk to purchase a high end mobile phone from eglobal twice in the last three years. Both times the phone has come within two weeks of placing the order, with tracking information and no extra taxes - hence I have been very pleased.

Obviously there is a greater risk buying from them, but I took the risk knowing that I had decent cover, as I was paying with a credit card and that my nationwide account gives me mobile phone insurance.

Well there are a number of options here in relation to dual sim, there is reduced risk if secondary sim isn't loaded with another sim.

Secondly this is a well branded phone, HTC, not a cheap Chinese knock off.

Thirdly, it is recommended that a phone have less than 1.6w/kg of SAR... this is 1.2....well below the recommend absorption level for radiation in relation to body tissue.

There's no concerns here for this phone.

Clearly there are still many that don't know about these sellers, there's new bad reviews every day and people on here still say they didn't know it was a Chinese seller.

When this site fully migrates to become HotChineseDeals then I think we can stop warning others

Question to people who have purchased from this site before. Is it better to pay the extra for insurance delivery or just keep the free delivery. Also does it effect getting charged at customs what option u choose.
Just wait until Amazon.de reduce it again as they keep doing and get it for around £235 from a reputable company with manufacturers warranty intact and Amazons legendary after sales.

Warranty is with the ebay seller id say thats worse than eGlobal as at least they will be around in 6 months and if you pay with a credit card theirs really no issue if it goes wrong as its covered.

Id hardly say paying a extra £75 is is good value thats a 1/3 of the phones cost and Very are not the best when things go wrong and if you use codes you wasn't issued to you be prepared for Very to remove the discount down the road. If you must have this phone id take my chances with the eBay seller or eGlobal and save me £75
