The best price I've seen on the pro kit, the last time I saw it anywhere near was around Black Friday at £1.098.98.

This isn't going to be for everyone, but as we've not seen many offers on this, plus this is a hefty discount, I thought that anyone waiting for price drop may appreciate it

As a mixed reality headset owner, I have been tempted by this, but simply don't have the time to game at the mo. It would be a really nice upgrade. Adjustable IPD is a big one for me. Pretty sure I'm a fish The inside out tracking on the MR sets is good for the most part, but as you can probably imagine, anything that happens outside of the cameras FOV get's pretty glitchy. This requires a bit more in terms of setting up, although tracking should be better overall when it comes to all-round movement

Firm footing
Never second guess a step when running through new lands. With Chaperone, the technology re-creates a virtual outline of your environment, enabling the user to see and feel the current surroundings without the need of removing the HMD, so your heirloom vase can rest easy.

I have a samsung odyssey WMR headset and the image is great. It has the same screen as this one. It has IPD adjustment, good headphones and I can play most oculus and vive games without issue.

I'm currently selling that to go to a HP reverb. Main reason it for the boost in resolution for sim racing. I'm struggling to find interest in a buyer though.

So, my point here is, why would someone pay 4 times the price of my Samsung, for effectively the same headset, just with slightly better tracking. I say slightly, as I admit Vive Pro have better tracking but I dont have any real issue with the WMR tracking either.

so four times the cost for what?

Mainly posted for those specifically after a discount on this set, tbh. I knew that it was pretty niche and there are lots of other options out there.

The reverb does look good. I just wish they'd get those controllers changed! As you'll know it's the same ones on the 1st get (only gen, really) MR headsets. Although they work fine, I find them uncomfortable to hold for longer periods of time. They're solid enough though. I should know... I played 'Creed Rise to Glory' and gave the wall a right hook a few weeks back Not a mark on it, but the wall had a big black mark and needed a touch up with paint. (The wall moved I SWEAR)

So yeah, I reset my boundaries

I hope Yodel don't deliver this on behalf of Ebuyer or you're in for a massive headache.

The samsung Odyssey controllers seem nice enough.I've not had any trouble with them comfort wise. Most of my VR is racing though so I guess the controllers are less of a concern for me.

Making me jealous now! I did like the look of the Valve Index after watching Linus play around with it. Another hefty cost I can't warrant right now though.

I was going back and forth between quest and Rift S, glad my better half convinced me to try the quest. Passthrough+ is also going to be handy.

It can be tough on some items, although if someone makes use of the savings then I'm happy enough
If I didn't post it I'd get all itchy and sweaty

Very true, though with cold votes comes less visibility.

I had triple screen 3d monitors before and loved it. That said, be is another level. Being able to turn your head etc is great.

I also use sim vibe with some bass shakers to add to it.

My main complaint with PC vr sim racing is the need to take the headset on and off to go through menus or to run software etc.

Playstation vr doesn't need this but a lot of PC aims need mouse or keyboard in places...

the gear vr cost me 20 pounds
Gear vr is an impressive piece of kit but generally has at least a few hundred pounds worth of phone behind it.
That brings you up to the cost of an Oculus go straight away.
Then add impoved controller tracking, inside out tracking or lighthouse tracking to allow room scale rather than a standing / seated experience, plus PC connectivity for improved visuals and it soon adds up.
Wouldn't buy HTC product again.

Thanks spark .. what wheel do you have ? I’m looking to upgrade my Logitech g29 to a fanatec .. but I can’t see what the difference is between a DD1 and DD2 .. would you happen to know?
I have a thrustmaster t-gt. It's a good next step. I had the g27 before.

Not sure on the difference between DD1 and DD2. I ready some reviews on DD saying about it complicating setups, electrical interference and obviously the big expense. So I went for top of non dd instead.
