Id pay more and get the hd desire deals which have been posted recently. This is cold. Im an existing customer and phoned them. Cheapest deal for HTC desire hd is £35+ per month. COLD

Not a bad basic smartphone, on a decent cheap tariff (24x£15.32) £367 over the 2 year contract life is, almost half what the Desire HD would cost you overall, sure the Desire HD is a superb smartphone, but if you can settle for the screen quality drop, slower CPU and half the RAM, it's a decent deal.

Whys this going hot and this hotukdeals.com/dea…380 going cold

a desire hd contract for less that £30 more than the one posted here?

I would guess, because it is a redemption cashback deal, which are often awkward to get the cash back from, or at least a bit awkward, then you also have to pay the higher monthly tariff each month anyway, lastly alot of people say bad things about this company (and the other similar cash redemption phone pushers).

I have the outlook, that if they are willing to let you have the phone for an amount, then they should offer it to you at that amount with no strings, hence I will never signup for a contract that offers cashback by periodic redemption.
