Probably the fastest and best Android tablet around right now, it's newly released but initial reviews are good and it has the best battery life of any other tablet around. Also available in white, 32GB is £80 more.

Its a Google product so won't have an SD card slot

it comes with Android L and latest technology. so it would take sometime to be outdated.

Has the 64bit Nvidia K1 chip, while the Nvidia K1 tablet had the 32bit chip.

Best .....er no...I'd rather have the Samsung tab 8.4. For starters it has a better screen and much higher resolution

i also prefer the Samsung overlay not keen on the native android

also the screen although 9 inch isn't bigger than the Samsung tab 8.4s screen as unlike other tablets the buttons for back home etc are not on the screen

Oh yes and no micro ad card

Sadly, I could care less whether this tablets suits YOU or not. I'm getting the Nexus 9 for sure. To me, the stock Android system plus HTC build quality sold me. This is a good deal for a newly released tablet so this is definitely HOT.

Offer ends Tuesday by the way so hurry up!

On the other hand, I saw discussion of a O2 priority offer that gives you £30 off £300 purchase, which makes that a better deal than this. Not sure if that applies to the Nexus 9 though.

Is it full of bloatware like other Samsung products? Is TouchWiz as bad as it is on their phones?

Overall I agree. It's selling for £320~£340 though. So this isn't a bad deal. The Nexus 9 should have the edge in performance (although both are pretty fast) and I prefer the Z3 compact tablet for everything else (colour, 8in rather than 9in, waterproof, SD card which for a 16GB is quite important).

Its not been on sale on google play for while hos comes they allowing other stores n companies to sell this item?

Processor, screen, speakers excellent

Best to wait for some reviews from good reviewers

There are reviews appearing and they're not that great, not bad either, but not great.

Anyway, heat given for the cheapest price I've seen for this.

Completely the other way round for me. I loathe touchwiz.

As do 99% of people. Even when they update their devices to 5.0, it will still have a TouchWiz feel to it. Horrible.

Touchjizz is literally ebola for Android. On the bright side, most Samsung models are well supported by Cyanogenmod and then they become quite awesome (as does the Nexus 7 and others).

Even Google hate it!

I wanted a Nexus tablet but I would have preferred another 10 inch device. I'll be getting the Nexus 6, and as the Nexus 9 has gotten smaller, and the phone has gotten a lot bigger, I'll just stick to the 1 Nexus device. Ideally I would have preferred a 5 or 5.5 phone inch phone and a 10 inch tablet.

I have a Samsung tab pro 8.4, and I will be selling it for either a Nexus 9 or Z3 tablet compact. Sony are currently offering £30 cashback if people are interested.

Touchwiz is horrible and the amount of extra useless stuff Samsung install onto it really ruins a tablet which actually has quite good spec.

Either way looks like the best Android tablet at the moment, I don't agree with price relative to the storage options, not good enough in this modern world.

Not without root.

I read a lot of topics about various devices on sites like Android Authority, Droid Life, The Verge etc. In the past 2-3 years, I've probably read about 3-4 positive comments towards TouchWiz. The rest hate it.

My Xperia Z3 compact tablet was delivered on Thursday and I must say I'm inpressed, the UI is smooth and the quality and feel of the device shout premium. I was going to wait for the N9 but in the end I decided I'd rather have removable storage, horses for courses and all that the N9 has without a doubt the best processor of any Android tab that only matters to benchmark junkies the z3 compact tab is no slouch and will handle most if not all games. Personally I wish Google would stop with the fixed storage, yes ok I know you could use an otg cable but why should you have to when you're shelling out near £400 for a 32GB version.

If you can forgive the lack of SD slot the Nexus range always seems to me the best option for tablet or phone if you want to keep up with Android releases over a number of years.

Anything which brings the price down is welcome because at £400 for the 32GB model you can get a 64GB Ipad for only £80 more which is much closer pricing than before.

4:3 screen, is that a joke?

i'm selling my 4g samsung tab s 8.4 for three reasons -

Speaker Placement - i use my tablet 99% of the time in landscape and have it rotated to the left, therefore placing the speakers right in to my palms and muffling all sound

Capacitive Buttons - SO MANY TIMES i've pressed the recent apps button and back button whilst holding the tablet (Again in landscape)

Ugly Poo Brown with Gold Trim - Who ever designed this clearly had pink eye...should have been charcoal black.

Things i'll miss - screen mirroring to my samsung tv, multitasking dual screen

Definitely getting my a Nexus 9 4G in black!

18-24 months as per the support cycle that Google promise for their devices

Yeah royals I know your talking about the tab s hence why I said I have a tab pro. I was giving my own opinion like you are. Some people just need to chill on here.

OK I can kind of half agree with what you said, both Nexus 7's were fantastically priced and had good specs when they were released, as were the Nexus 4 & 5 problem was the batteries for both these phones were dire. Great having a high spec phone but not so much if it lasts less than a day on charge.

Launcher can only do so much. I have Nova Launcher installed. By the way, I have a Samsung Note 2. So I'm not bashing TouchWiz just for the sake of it. It is the best phone I've owned.

They sure do, each to their own and all that.

Some people prefer different features and brands, it's nice to voice an opinion without trying to trample over another posters post rather than brute force your opinion onto someone I agree.

It's easy to root a device even for most laymen these days, you can even unroot devices if you need to get the device repaired.
