Cheers @smith24v - nice find.

Heat added
Data etc?
The original link that had now been changed took you to a totally different deal, which if you can handle a redemption deal is actually very good. 20gb for £38 but down to £32 with redemption and no upfront cost on EE max including BT sport for the life of the contact is pretty good. Think I'll probably get this instead of the one that had now been updated.

£33 for this phone !????
Been looking at this phone all day. 33 per month sounds good
Best phone out there, thanks OP!
thanks
Even though I got this phone significantly cheaper on a retention deal from Vodafone, you can't guarantee exactly the same price apparently, and this is still a good deal for what is a brilliant phone. Definitely heat added.

I've been researching it for days now in anticipation, and it's actually the phone I want most. It's not the absolute fastest, but it is more than fast enough for most, and it's not perfect but it's easily the most interesting high-end/flahship phone of 2018 so far (when the Galaxy S9 is pretty boring compared to the S8, and the IphoneX is ridiculously priced, and the Pixel2 is lacking in some features).

Agreed I've had it since release. It is fast, the camera is brilliant, Screen is nice, speakers are actually pretty decent. Battery life is nuts. Last weekend I was in bed sick and watched a lot of videos on it and got 10 1/2 screen on time. I've never got near that on any phone. My only complaint (and a big one for me) is the lack of a headphone jack, I do find it frustrating that this phone isn't as easy to plug my earphones into, especially when my Bluetooth headphones run out of charge. I know for a lot of people that's not a big deal though and overall I'm still happy with it.
plus if you go through TCB theres another £42 off
So who has a decent screen protector they can recommend?

Can I ask what deal you got with Vodafone? My contract with them is up so tempted to jump ship to EE, but may consider staying if the deal is good enough!
Had mine for a couple of weeks and its the best android phone. Coming from the S8 which is slow and sluggish compared to this.

For me though its the unlock features and how easy and fast they work. With raise to wake which the S8 doesnt have its already looking for you face and unlocked before you have raised it into position. The angle it also gets your face and unlocks keeps amazing me. Just keep thinking how did it just unlock at that angle! Then you have the super fast finger print scanner for when its sat on the table in front of you.

Then theres the camera and night mode!

usually it comes tempered screen protector pre installed. i've got mine from fonehouse and it was installed. but phone was locked to EE. had to spend another £23 to unlock.

I have gone for this over the op's deal. Thanks for pointing it out and thanks to op as well.

Exactly! I can't believe how Huawei phone prices have escalated. In my personal opinion they are ridiculously expensive! Huawei was meant to be the flagship killer in terms of price compared to the big brands but now they are just overpriced!

Here's the link - again, not sure that you'll be able to get exactly the same deal as I battled pretty hard and on the follow-up call the sales-rep was pretty shocked, but I have the transcript proof so they honoured it. Good luck : hotukdeals.com/dea…960

Thank you I didn't get a deal anywhere near as good as yours as I didn't want to pay so much of an upfront cost, but got one similar to this EE deal. 9GB data, £25 upfront and £32.80 a month. Only very slightly cheaper than the EE deal at £812.20 in total but it works out better for me as I have Vodafone broadband too, so get a discount there.

Although techradar is great, what I love going off is personal value for money.

This is why I've had a OnePlus phone for the past few years because they are decently priced for the specs.

I would rate the P20 PRO as one of the best value for money phones, above the iPhone X for sure (incredibly overpriced for what you get).

I'm waiting on the release of the OnePlus 6 and then will make my decision to either get that or the P20 Pro.

You're most welcome and I'm glad you got a deal you wanted! Enjoy the new phone
I was looking at getting this but I went for the S9+ CPW deal instead. As much as I like the hardware, EMUI is ugly. A custom launcher would help, but it's not going to be a perfect solution so I decided to continue using Samsung Experience. Apart from that, I must say this phone looks amazing
I just pulled the trigger on this. I was with vodafone and called them a couple of times today but the best they could do was £36 with £15 up front for 9gb without BT sport and the extra roaming counties (retention). I was also sick of fighting with them for every upgrade so I think I'll be switching provider every contract now to get the best deal. Can't wait to get the phone!

Thanks!
