Not many great deals on the Huawei 128GB Nano Memory Card, however found the cheapest deal to be £39.99 from Carphone warehouse. You can order for next day with free delivery or to your nearest store if that is convenient.
This is for the people that don't have Amazon Prime which is priced at £40.45 and want next day delivery.
So for all you new Huawei P30 Pro owners like me, it's a good option. Shame we have no choice to use these cards.
At least if there is a problem you can return it locally.

Another type of MC
Do you need a MC if you use cloud storage? Debating a card for the new phone but wondering if there's any need if backing up photos to Drive and streaming music from Spotify.

"Local" storage is still faster than cloud storage IMO
Does anyone trust Huawei cloud storage... certainly Google... its a shame I had to give my son, the nice Sandisk gold 128gb microsd.

Yes.
And it's also better than no expansion at all.
Oh definately.

So buy an expensive phone to then buy a specific MC, well the choice is an alternative phone that don't require buying specific extras

Oh fantastic, yet another proprietary piece of kit. Watch Huawei's sales plummet and laugh.

Its £40.45 delivered with or without prime as its over the £20 minimum also not prime exclusive.

Good price , though one suspects that the format was created to profiteer.
MORE normal profiteering practice is to create disposable devices without any card slot.

I guess this was a compromise from Huawei, them not having a monopoly for the Android OS.

Normal access is via wifi but my contract is 50GB with pretty decent 4G coverage. I'm uploading photos as I take them so it seems like it would be £50 for a card that if the phone gets stolen would be redundant.
not next day without prime.
Can't understand why someone hasn't brought out a generic one yet. If you're going to get one it might aswell get the 256gb,but they're £100+.

Remember this comment in 12 months time when Huawei are likely to be announced as global #1 selling brand in smartphones.
I mean these almost make sense for mobile phones being the exact size and shape of nano SIM card and being smaller than Micro SD but mass adoption of any new storage format is no easy feat.

As a previous owner of several of Huawei's previous flagships, it's now annoying that they're going the apple route of making specific items only usable with their devices, and that's now putting me off.
I moved from Samsung s3 to the Huawei P6 years ago, but I think its now time to make the switch back to Samsung, whom IMHO offer the best overall package (headphone jack, microSD etc).
Ask Sony how proprietary memory formats worked out for them (see: PSP/Vita)

That is more to do with the fact they never supported them. I think every one that had both knows that. This is a little different don't you think..

"well the choice is an alternative phone that don't require buying specific extras".

Good point, lol, roll on the that is what Sony already did with it's Memory Stick - PRO Card, and it's Memory Stick - PRO Duo Card from wayyyyyy back in the Day?.

It was literally only a matter of time before 'others', tried their luck on the exact same also, I guess, lol.

What can I say ...

Yes but like I said, was because the hardware failed. Sony didn't support it enough.

Fair enough comment that, lol.

Ps.
Note to self: try some Xiaomi phone's too, perhaps?. :-)

Looooooooool, you're saying that like the American NSA 'imposed' spyware upon alllllll our Apple products, Samsung products, Sony products, Microsoft/Nokia products from back in the Day, and ... are actually any better, I suppose then, or something?.

China aren't the only one's at this most 'interesting' of game's, etc etc etc, basically?.

Simple as ... (unfortunately).

What’ll fall faster, their sales or the astronomic depreciation of every handset they release? Honestly the NM memory card is the primary reason I refuse to buy one of these phones, absolutely no need for it.
So basically what is actually a good price for this card is actually never going to be hot because of people's thoughts on whether there should be a new card or what they think about Huawei. That's fine. I'll expire the deal. Then we don't have to worry any more

I appreciate the effort. Best price ATM and I've just bought one for my new P30. Cheers.
When is the 256gb NM Card available in UK?
